If the House Republican caucus does not hold together all is lost. So I am encouraged that 100% of the attendees signaled their assent to this course of action.

However, I am not clear what the course of action is. Does it delay funding Obamacare for a year? Does it delay the individual mandate for a year? What exactly is delayed for a year and will Obama have the wherewithal to spend federal monies to propagandize against the Republicans for 12 months?

I think they are holding together on this one.

We're witnessing an interesting dynamic involving the conflicting political realities faced by House members and Senators -- even in the same state. A House member may represent a district where there is a lot of political pressure to repeal ObamaCare completely, while a Senator representing the entire state where that House district is located may be seeing very different political pressure.

Interesting dynamic related to the functions of a bicameral legislature.

And good political move by Boehner, because it would keep this monstrosity of a law in the limelight well into next year's midterm elections.

I think we can count on Obastard propagandizing for the next year. He's been doing it since he announced his candidacy in '07 (with our own money since 1/20/09), so why would he change? We need to twist that to our advantage somehow.

It raises several possibilities.

Delaying it is a win for us...Getting it to Obama where he vetos the bill is a win for us.

I think it all comes down to sticking together.

If the Rinos in the Senate vote against cloture this time, it might make a difference and force Reid to take the bill apart.

I think Boehner is doing the right thing.

I think a new Caucus and Whip are emerging. The GOPe are going to have the long-knives out, all stops out to cripple Cruz.

They are drowning swimmers grasping at anything they can to pull down with themselves.

You have to delay in order to know what the delay is about...

Now if the government is not ready to implement Obamacare as Obama wants it, doesn’t it make sense that he would be GLAD that the Republicans are offering delay it a year rather than defund it as We The People asked them to?
