It's a Cooked Book - Global warmism and the antiscientific method.
Wall Street Journal ^ | September 24, 2013 | James Taranto

In the first five paragraphs of a recent dispatch from Stockholm, the Associated Press--in our estimation unwittingly, for the most part--exposes the deep corruption of the "global warming" enterprise:

Scientists working on a landmark U.N. report on climate change are struggling to explain why global warming appears to have slowed down in the past 15 years even though greenhouse gas emissions keep rising.

Leaked documents obtained by The Associated Press show there are deep concerns among governments over how to address the issue ahead of next week's meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Climate skeptics have used the lull in surface warming since 1998 to cast doubt on the scientific consensus that humans are cooking the planet by burning fossil fuels and cutting down CO2-absorbing forests.

The IPCC report is expected to affirm the human link with greater certainty than ever, but the panel is under pressure to also address the recent lower rate of warming, which scientists say is likely due to heat going deep into the ocean and natural climate fluctuations.

"I think to not address it would be a problem because then you basically have the denialists saying, 'Look the IPCC is silent on this issue,' " said Alden Meyer, of the Washington-based Union of Concerned Scientists...

What can be driving all that excess heat deeper into the ocean? Is this a newly discerned phenomenon? Can it the intensity of desire for an ideologically acceptable explanation?

That's the explanation. Where's the data supporting it?

And the heat somehow manages to pass through the upper layers of the water without warming it?? How many laws of physics need to be broken for their ‘theory’ to be remotely possible?

I often hear the “deniers” referred to as “flat earthers,” as if they completely ignore the science that impacts this subject.

Hogwash. We need to turn that argument around.

The morons that believe that humans have an impact on climate are like the people in the middle ages that believed in “spontaneous generation.” In other words, “we see A, and we see B, so A must cause B”. They believed that if you put a piece of cheese in a cabinet and a rat was seen there at a later point in time, that putting cheese in the cabinet is what caused a rat to spontaneously grow in that location.

The climate change morons are no different from the people of the middle ages that believed in spontaneous generation.

Soon these idiots will figure out that they can credit the Obamessiah for miraculously saving mankind from a fried earth. Facts will ALWAYS be “flexible” to these blind fools.

Many more grants(mucho dollars) will be required to validate this supposition.

“How many laws of physics need to be broken . . ..?

As many as required to attain the socio-political objectives.

Climate skeptics have used the lull in surface warming since 1998 to cast doubt on the scientific consensus that humans are cooking the planet by burning fossil fuels and cutting down CO2-absorbing forests.

Oh, my. Mature forests do not absorb CO2. At best, they are CO2 neutral. If global warmists were serious about their fear of CO2, they'd want to cut down all of the mature forests (which produce CO2) and replace them with actively growing forests, which do absorb CO2. Then they would promote extensive use of wood and wood products, because once carbon is bound up in wood, it stays there for a long time, until the wood finally decays or is otherwise destroyed. They would even be researching new ways to use wood, because of wood's excellent natural ability to sequester carbon.

Early on, I sensed the scam in "global warming" alarmism, because of the fact that if global warmists were serious about wanting to remove CO2 from the environment, they'd want as many growing and as few mature forests as possible. But they don't--in fact, they throw hissy fits about logging. So the whole thing was an obvious scam from the get-go.
