Means the same thing as "I was all..."
Previous generations learned to say "I said..." or "He said..."
These archaic usages have now been replaced by "I'm like..." or "I was all..."
It's progress, don'cha know? Like not teaching students how to read and write in cursive.

The 70's kids all used "He goes," instead of said. I ask them, "where?"
Drives me nuts.
Ops, nope that's a short putt, not a drive.

“Previous generations learned to say “I said...” or “He said...” These archaic usages have now been replaced by “I’m like...” or “I was all...”
Correct. Not as archaic and certainly much cooler than the old stodgy phrases.
Another new and improved (and cooler) phrase is “I’ll do a cheeseburger”, rather than the antiquated “I’ll have a cheeseburger, please.”
