You missed the point.
The :news: is not that that many people got killed this weekend.
The “point” is that it’s being shoved right in front of your face, that the media is going to do whatever it takes to demonize guns.
It seems to be on a massive scale now. Pretty much constant reports of (gun violence/global warming).
Who benefits? Cui bono?
Answer that question, and you have the answer.

"the media is going to do whatever it takes to demonize guns" because we could never actually blame the PEOPLE who fired the guns. That might imply a need for individual responsibility. The collective won't stand for that.
