House Republican leaders — bowing to the demands of their conservative wing — will put to a vote on Friday a stopgap spending measure that would strip all funding from President Obama’s signature health care law, increasing the likelihood that the government will shut down in two weeks.
The decision to embrace a showdown on the health care law came after months of pushing by conservatives – and resistance by Republican leaders — to link it to the government financing measures that Congress must address this fall.
For their part, Democrats appeared almost gleeful that the Republican leadership had chosen the most confrontational route with just days to go before a potential shutdown. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee began a fund-raising appeal off the decision immediately. Democratic leaders declared themselves fully united in opposition. Representative Peter Welch, Democrat of Vermont, said the Republican Party had just moved from “dysfunction to disintegration.”

The best way to do that is to shutdown the non-essental parts of the US Federal Government, starting with mothballing Air Force One.

If they destroy Obamacare, this could get them a landslide in 2014! Even the Dems are beginning to hate the idea of Obamacare.
