The Russians are probably trying to keep a low profile and not inflame the situation elsewhere. But here’s a video of when they felt they could get away with killing bad guys. As I recall the story, they captured the pirates, then let them go and sank the pirate ship and then machine-gunned the survivors. (I think this is how pirates should be treated. That is how they’ve always been treated. Then, we got compassionate and, let’s face it, self destructive.)
