Updated at 3:40 p.m. EDT: Officials stated that the Washington Navy Yard shooter who died after Monday's rampage has been identified as Aaron Alexis, 34, from Texas.

He grew up in Brooklyn, NY
He went to several locations as part of his military service, living for an extended time in Texas.
Three years ago, he took up residence in Maryland
Yet...he’s from Texas, once he becomes a murderer.
We know he wasn’t either a Marine nor a native Texan, because eyewitnesses reported he aimed at them from less than 100ft away with an AR-15/M-16 and missed high.
He might have been TAD working at FtWorth and TAD to NAVSEASYSCOM.
The media will do most anything to prevent mentioning the race of a perp when said perp is black or muslim or both.
This is the first time I've noticed that State was an issue (Big Bad Texas, all us bible thumping, gun toter's..)
According to the article he was a native of Brooklyn, NY. Was a reservist in the Navy from May 2007
until January 2011. He attended a Buddhist Temple. Apparently he lost his job at the Navy
facility either by firing or quiting.
It was taken from one of the guards he shot.
The other guard got his pistol taken.
They’re saying he was an Aviation Electrician’s Mate. I was an AE before I crossrated.

I heard that if you are visiting DC you can be arrested just for carrying some ammo. So he definitely wasn’t following the laws in DC.

Seattle police just posted a blog entry in which they say that shooter Aaron Alexis was once arrested in Seattle for shooting out the tire’s of another man’s vehicle during an “anger-fueled blackout.”
Alexis’s father told police his son had PTSD from the events of Sept. 11, 2001, according to the post.

At about 8 am that morning, two construction workers had parked their 1986 Honda Accord in the driveway of their worksite, next to a home where Alexis was staying in the Beacon Hill neighborhood.
The victims reported seeing a man, later identified by police as Alexis, walk out of the home next to their worksite, pull a gun from his waistband and fire three shots into the two rear tires of their Honda before he walked slowly back to his home north of the construction site.
Officers responded to the scene but were unable to locate Alexis, and no one answered the door at his home.
When detectives interviewed workers and a manager at the construction site, they told police Alexis had “stared” at construction workers at the job site every day over the last month prior to the shooting. The owner of the construction business told police he believed Alexis was angry over the parking situation around the work site.
Maybe the media will photoshop him like they did George zimmerman to turn him into a white hispanic
Didn’t a major media magazine publish a photo of OJ Simpson that made him look less black ?
I heard one local DC reporter, on scene, say that he had heard that the shooter killed a gate guard with a shotgun. The guard’s 9mm pistol and AR-15 were both missing, as well as the magazines for each. There is also a report that he may have taken the AR-15 of the guard he shot at the entrance to the facility. The first reports I heard this morning on the local DC news was that someone was shooting people at the Navy Yard with a shotgun. Thus it may be that he began with a shotgun and then got the ‘assault rifles’ from the guards he shot. thus the government, in a sense, provided the weapons Alexis used.
Just on the surface it sounds like someone who had high aspirations in life, but failed to achieve, probably due to social ineptitude. Heaven only knows how he tried to buttress his ego, but in the end the whole house of cards came crashing down, at which point he decided to end it all, making a big statement as he went.

Hmmmm...so where was he on 911 to have suffered from PTSD? So many conflicting reports.
So far a black meditating gentle Buddhist, now with anger issues and PTSD, goes on rampage at a naval installation for no apparent reason.
Something not adding up here. How did he get in using a 50 something year old man’s ID?
