Gingrich: Putin is a dictator and a thug
cnn.com ^ | September 12th, 2013 | Ashley Killough

Americans shouldn't let Vladimir Putin's opinions get under their skin because the Russian president is a one-time KGB officer whose primary interest is nationalism, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Thursday.

"While we have to deal with him as the president of Russia, we don't have to respect his views. We don't have to respect his opinions," said Gingrich, co-host of CNN's "Crossfire."

"And frankly, we should laugh at him when he tries to lecture America about exceptionalism, because he ain't exceptional. He's just one more in a long tradition of dictators and thugs."

Putin rattled some Americans, including high-profile figures in Washington, when he argued in a New York Times op-ed against U.S. military intervention in Syria. In the final paragraph, he took issue with the idea of America being the proverbial shining city on a hill.

"It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation," he wrote. ....

The former House speaker pointed to Putin's history as a former intelligence officer for the KGB, where he worked from 1975-1992.

Gingrich also argued Putin was behind the Russian invasion of Georgia in 2008 and the conflict in Chechnya has killed thousands.

He expressed doubt the opinion piece was even written by Putin, saying it was likely penned by a Washington speechwriters.

"You can go through and read that document and you could find at every single stage find that it's a lie," Gingrich said. "For us to take it seriously is a sign that we have forgotten who Vladimir Putin is."

Wrong. Putin is America’s most deadly and hateful enemy in the world. Obama is merely a weakling who backs down to our real enemies like Putin. Obama and Putin are comrades united against American exceptionalism and greatness.

Politicians think they’re smart because they have power, money and admiration, because they’re good at it then they get addicted to it.

They’re snobs toward the people they work for, but then when they realize all the corrupt manipulation they’ve done turns everything to crap and they see that the people they work for were right this is what would happen, if that’s what we’re seeing.

Charles Krauthammer was wailing today. He goes up and down back and forth.

Do they think people who don’t like BO in charge not want him there because they are hicks, or racist or silly because with knowledge they should be greedy for power and in politics.

Hatred for BO has nothing to do with not wanting him in there messing with our culture, history, patriotism, childrens’ education, health care, privacy, morals, heterosexuality, our peace, our allies, our branches of government and, yes, the Resolute Desk.

They’re jumpy.

So Newt thinks we should rally behind Obama, because to do otherwise bolsters Putin?

Eff that.

There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Putin is not a dictator. He is not a communist. He is the leader of Russia, who just happened to be former head of the old KGB, and for that he is castigated as a two bit dictator thug. He loves his country a hell of a lot more than the imposter we have mascarading as US president. He is also a Christian that does not persecute other Chrisitians like the Muslim-in-Chief Obozo. He also puts filthy, perverted sodomites in their place and does not worship and glory perversion, line the lunatic homosexual Barry Sinclair-Obozo.

My point isn't about Putin being a saint but rather that Obama is a traitor arming the Al Qaeda terrorists.

Putin is standing up for Christians in Syria while Obama hasn't stood up for Christians in Egypt or Syria.

What do I know about Russian black ops, nothing.

Where did Newt say that? Provide proof for this hysterical charge. Must acknowledging that Putin is a murderer and a mortal enemy of our country mean we support Obama? Do you hate Obama so much that you hate this country now? Oppose Obama, sure, we all do. But you do NOT hate this country. You do NOT insult our military. And you do NOT stand against our interests.

Russia is defending Christians. We are arming those who are beheading Christians. Russia is not our enemy. This is the thinking of those stuck in the past.

I might add the closest Gingrich actually came to arguing against what Putin had to say was to dismiss it out of hand as all lies. His argument boils down to “He’s a jerk don’t listen to him”. That kind of ad hominem stuff is typical of the left!

Putin invaded the Christian nation of Georgia and exterminated and ethnically cleansed the innocent Christian Georgian people to punish them for being America's friend.

Putin is a persecutor and murderer of Christians just like the EVIL EMPIRE he loyally served and misses.

I admire Putin for standing up to preserve his nation and its culture by clamping down on the pervs and their homo-fascist agenda. He sees the West, and America in particular, is swirling down the toilet of depravity and on a course to oblivion, and obviously doesn’t want to share that destiny. America has become a total sewer. A grotesque and farcical shadow of its former greatness.

And thumbs-up to Putin as well, for showing what a pathetic, empty-suited POS we have as President. I hope Putin continues to slap Obama around like a rag-doll.

I do not hate my country.
I hate Putin AND Obama, and what they have in store for us.
Putin is an idiot for not seeing the patriotism and Obama is a fool to think he is in charge of it.

Everything Putin said is a lie. He says we should listen to the UN but Putin unilaterally invaded Georgia unprovoked without UN permission.

“Putin is standing up for Christians in Syria while Obama hasn’t stood up for Christians in Egypt or Syria.”

Are you serious? So were the citizens of Georgia all Muslims? Did you happen to see any of the photos circulating when Putin invaded that country, filled with the dead bodies of innocent civilians who had been hit by Russian fire? There were decapitated bodies. Old men with holes in their heads. Bodies decapitated from the waist up. Photos of Russian soldiers burning American flags. And all this because Georgia responded to Palestinian style missile launches from S. Ossetia, most likely by Russian Spetznaz sent to provoke the Georgian response in the first place. (Russia was “coincidentally” already ready and in place to invade prior to the S.O rocket attacks, which they used as the pretext for invading.)

That should probably read:

Obama is an idiot for not seeing the patriotism and Putin is a fool to think he is in charge of it.

American exceptionalism was our commitment to freedom in a world immersed in collectivism. Obama is most assuredly NOT an advocate of Individual rights.Cicero says why Obama is worse:

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Russia doesn’t defend Christians anywhere in the world. The only country Putin ever invaded is America's Christian ally Georgia. The USA defends Christians from the evil mass-murderer Putin. The USA arms and train the Christian Georgians to defend their country from the muslims in the Russian army.
