The Philippines, a great place to retire to I’m told. Your money will go far, you can live like a king, if the muslims let you live.
This is Mindanao, the known bad place for Christians. Other islands completely different.
Zamboanga is in the far south...most Americans retire to Manila in the north, or to Cebu, in the center of the country, where there are few Muslims.
Here, in the north, the main problem are the communists, or the politicians shooting their rivals.
I’m buying a condo there in Makati. My brother got married in Cebu and all the expats there live like kings. One of the Americans we met told me drove a cab in brooklyn for 30 years and he bought a house for 50 grand near the beach close to a very well known resort.
The raghead problem is centered in the South and coincidentally, that’s where a US Spec Ops base is located.
