Arab states call for international action against Syrian regime

President Barack Obama's surprise move to seek congressional authorization before ordering any military action against the Syrian regime was met with a mixed reception around the world Sunday, with a chorus of Arab states calling for intervention — while a key Syrian government official disparaged the White House for a lack of leadership.

At an Arab League meeting in Cairo on Sunday evening, foreign ministers passed a resolution pressing the United Nations and the global community to “take the deterrent and necessary measures against the culprits of this crime that the Syrian regime bears responsibility for,” according to Reuters.

The ministers also concluded that those responsible for the lethal chemical weapons attack should face trial just like other “war criminals.”

Something stinks to high heaven about all of this. Obammy does nothing when Africans get slaughtered....but goes all macho suddenly over this. Me thinks Europe and the Saudis are behind Bammys marching orders.

The Arab League can referee their own Muz-on-Muz cage match.

Can I get it on pay-per-view? I've got the popcorn ready.

Arabs can deal with their Arab problem. They paid to have their corner of the world turn into a bloody hell hole so now they can deal with own damn problem. Oh and keep your friggin oil we have enough to wait out you return to the stone age.

If the Arab states want to fight in Syria let them do it. It’s not our fight and we have reason to help al-Qa’ida take over the country.

Not so simple unfortunately. It would be easy and very isolationist to just say that they should just sit in their hell hole and rot. Problem is they bring their crap to your front doorstep (9/11).

No, they must be kept in check somehow. Let them kill each other off yes, but should they step out of line, they need to be slammed.

This is, after all what Arabs understand and RESPECT. For all the violence, they really get disciplined when you kill them en masse. I know this sounds terrible but look at Egypt. The MB stormed the police and wham 600 dead, 800 dead, 500 dead and now...the streets of Cairo are quiet with MBs in prison. THAT is how it is done in that part of the world.

Israel could have ended two intifadas overnight by mowing them down but no, due to Western sensitivities, UN intervention and moral platitudes from Europe these uprisings went on their bloody way for years.

The world wants Israel to play with kid gloves while their buses and cafes were exploding. So they agree and many die in the process.

In the Arab world, there is no mercy, only force and when Obama and Kerry figure this out there will be quiet, even though it is temporary.

This delay in attacking them only plays into their hands.

I have no problem with slapping them down if they step out of their sandbox. What I have a problem with is expending more American lives and tax dollars IN their sandbox. They want to live by medieval rules put in place by a syphilitic pedophile then let burn in their own hell. I am OK with getting the Coptic Christians to safety, but as far as Arabs calling on the rest of the world, meaning America, to clean up the mess that they bought and paid for absolutely not!

Agreed. Question is, what about allies in the region? Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, still Egypt, even dumb-fu*k Turkey.
What about them now that the US is losing the Mid-East and then there’s Iran. The single biggest problem coming at us like a Nuclear Freight Train?
Once Iran goes Nuclear, the whole world changes. Are we going to stop them or not?

If Obama gassed a bunch of his citizens, they would look a lot like us . . . or something like that.

Obama's Oil and Gas War for Muslim Terrorists has already started!

Read this Intelligence Analysis Study: WORLD WAR III is coming, quicker than you think.
It's going to go NUCLEAR real fast.

Read your Bible (especially about "the remnant of Syria" and "the king of the north", "the king of the south") !

After all these years of selling us oil, I think they can afford their own wars. Let them take care of it.

Let the arab states use all the aid we have given them (forever) against Syria. IT IS NOT OUR WAR so stay out of it.

Osumbo needs this war to keep the heat off his screw ups. Right now, you don't see a single story about the status of each scandal under review, if any are actually being checked into. What ever happened to Fast & Furious, Benghazi, IRS, DHS and on and on and on?
Keep the waters stirred and never let a good crisis go to waste. Right now it looks like Syria is their current crisis. As soon as Congress (hopefully) denies attacking Syria, ANOTHER crisis will surface in order to keep the heat off of those pesky, never to be resolved “phony scandals”.
