Amendment VI to the US Constitution: “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial,. . . “

We should be considerate of the convicted murderer’s rights under the Constitution he hates. I suggest the appeals court process his appeal next week, the court superior to the appeals court the following week and the Supreme Court the week after. By respecting his right to a speedy trial it should be possible to execute him within 90 days.

One of the major problems with the death penalty as a deterrent in this country is the length of the appeals process. Accelerate the appeals process to 6 months or less in death penalty cases and some criminals might just reconsider the crime they are about to commit.

In military trials the appeals go to the Commander in Chief.

He will be commuted.
