I have no idea how accurate I am at looking at car speeds but the car seems to be flying. Who determined the vehicle's speed?

“lots of good info in Comments beneath LAWEEKLY article HERE:”

For instance, one comment:
>>>>med examiner say he wasn’t impaired. he flew through a red light at near 100 mph moments before, possibly not by his own control. - former US intel expert Clarke says his car could have been hacked<<<<
Thanks, LyinLibs. Good find.
Bout time someone had the guts to talk about at least one of the “timely and convenient” deaths during this admin.
OMG, my FRiend. You are so completely wrong. Where are you getting your facts from ? Or are you just picking up sound bites the CIA has told the Media to distribute?
Although there were traces of Meth and Pot(which stays in the system for months), the levels indicated he WAS NOT 'HIGH' on either that night.
Please, you have been here a long time, long enough that you should feel a responsibility for getting your facts straight.
I'm sure someone can do a precise analysis of distance and time in that video which would yield an exact speed.
Says who?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Says his family, friends, neighbors and loved ones. Hastings had a lifetime attraction to the dark side. And re-read my post 14. It seems you agree with me on my mistrust of the coroner.
Facts are such pesky things. The MEDIA said he was doing over 100mph. No radar, no skid marks, absolutely nothing to base that 'speed' on. What they did is look at the severity of the explosion , and determine the only way that the car could have suffered that much 'explosive' damage and the immediate and COMPLETE FIRE was if Hastings was going over 100mph.
If you have seen a picture to the tree he came to rest against (after hitting the fireplug which was spraying his car with water), it is not even missing any bark.
Makes one wonder.... if you are being sprayed by the stream size and pressure that comes out of a fireplug, and your vehicle burns completely to a crisp, then how could it even be a 'natural' occurrence from a wreck?
I have seen many wrecks in my life, very bad ones, yet none of them were on fire. NONE of them.
Does anyone believe that if Mercedes Benz made a car that , during crash tests, turned into an instant cremation chamber, they would even sell it ?
See the links in reply #31 and 35. The coroners office said there was meth.
Before they said “well, maybe no meth.”
And that's where you are completely wrong, and willingly ignorant of the true facts.
I am sorry the Media doesn't bother to cover ALL the facts when they publish a story, but they haven't been known for the TRUTH for a long , long time.
I trust by now you’ve read the rest of the thread. And looked at links in replies that back me up.
But in case you still doubt me, ping me, and I’ll point out my sources.
AND the levels found indicated he was not currently using it (for several days, at the least)
Yes. The family did not want him to be burnt to a carbon cinder sitting in his own vehicle.
“AND the levels found indicated he was not currently using it (for several days, at the least)”
Thanks! That’s what I thought I’d read.
Rarely have I seen someone post a link and pat themselves on the back so hard for having taking 20 seconds to post someone else's material. There is a word for a person who has satisfy their own ego by Shoving the fact that they made a miniscule and minor action, that even a cat could do, in everyone's face. (My cat is typing this for me right now. I have been deathly sick for two weeks, in the hospital for one week, and I no longer tolerate stupidity.
That's really all I know.
You should have just stuck with that from the beginning. Instead, you have made it glaringly obvious and an issue.
Apparently some Freepers are of the LOW INFORMATION/RAPID KNEE JERK type and once they decide their limited knowledge of the subject is right (because that is what they wanted to hear), they will no longer accept any factual input.
Nope. Wrong. Reply 30 is not my proof that you are wrong.
Guess again. (Hints. There are two replies. At least. And I didn’t post them.
Oh. And tell your cat not to type out long, wrong rambling nonsense. It makes you look stupid.
Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not following you.
Just as we suspected.
Off the criticism and onto the learning process (which we all go through).
I'm not really interested in any links to the readers comment section in blogs, or tweets, or facebook musings or anything else that is the personal opinion of a person behind a computer screen who has no actual first hand experience with the case, or life, or a long term experience with dealing with the government and media.
I will pass on what I have found. Anyone could find it , (I just googled the issue of his autopsy and levels of intoxication. I'm almost completely sure you computer has access to google (or 1000's of other search engines), so you could have easily found this info your self.
Autopsy found traces of drugs after Hastings death
[ Family members told investigators that Hastings had been using the hallucinogenic dimethyltryptamine, or DMT, though the drug was not detected in a blood test after the crash.]
[Toxicology results showed small amounts of amphetamine in his blood, which indicated he had possibly taken methamphetamine many hours before his death. Traces of marijuana were also present, indicating he'd taken it hours earlier.]
[The report said a family member had last seen Hastings passed out at home about three hours before the crash. The person said Hastings had been smoking marijuana the night before the crash.] (yeah, because the first thing people do after taking meth is pass out. Right.)
Thigpen argues that Hastings was not doing anything harder than pot. She strongly disputes the coroner's suggestion that Hastings was taking methamphetamine, saying it was much more likely the amphetamine found in his system came from Adderall. (A coroner's spokesman acknowledged that the amphetamine could have come from either Adderall or meth.)
