I would prefer less Candy Crowley and more Mark Steyn or Megan Kelly.

Why would any party go to any debates moderated by their opposition who do not ask questions but accuse?
Oh, yea the ‘stupid party’........they are correct on this.

Who is the guy that wrote this?

Mr. Lonsberry is wrong.

It is absolutely proper for the RNC to threaten partisan media expulsion from its primary debates. More, the RNC should take back the party by making all it primaries closed primaries. And it should absolutely insist on true moderators and neutral venues for any debates.

This one small correct step by the RNC in insisting that it will not tolerate the partisan media’s glorification of Hitlery should be applauded, not deplored.

Um... Bob?

You don’t take your team into someone else’s stadium, to play by their rules, with their ball, and in front of their fan-base... And expect to win.

The GOP has issues. It’s wandered far from the path of Constitutionally limited governance, but owning their debates and Primaries is a good thing.

The GOP is stupid to have liberals moderate their debates.

So the R. party gets reamed by conservatives for allowing debates to be moderated by libtards and then when they try to do something about that, they get reamed by other conservatives. Just can’t win.

So the author thinks big media as a propaganda arm of one party is perfectly fine? The low info voters believe the lies and vote accordingly.

I know what you mean. This whole hissy fit from Rinse n Repeatus has a piss anty feel to it.

What about in the meantime? Are RINOs going to continue to appear on CNN and NBC "news" shows?

Everybody knows when it comes down to where the rubber hits the road, The RNC will cave.

Here’s the trick, Bob. To allow the networks to put what is thinly veiled propaganda out on their candidate of choice, is NOT freedom of the press, unless the other side (that would be us) has the exact same opportunity.

And, Bob, you know that’ll never happen in a million years.

I rarely disagree with Lonsberry, but in this case I do.

The GOP should have stopped ANY working relationship with the Commie News Network long ago, and just stop talking to them completey.

They exist to make the GOP look bad. Every interview or debate is geared to make the GOP look bad. Why give them help?

AND!!! (here is an important point) by playing their propaganda piece on HilLIARy, the GOP could claim it is a free political advertisement, and demand equal time AND demand that the HilLIARy campaign be held to account for the equivalent amount of money that these commercials would cost at market value.

It doesn't matter what the GOP says. The lamestream media will do one of two things:
1. Make a HUGE story out of the GOP banning MSNBC and NBC
or
2. MAKE UP a story.

Either way, the GOP will come out on the short end of the stick.

THAT is why places like this and the rare conservative talk and T.V. shows are so vital to the American mind.

Can anyone give advice on how to quit membership in the Stupid Party?

I used to contribute faithfully, but I don’t any longer and have no intention to do so in the foreseeable future.

But in the meantime I get bombarded with mailed “Surveys” (requests for money) which I ignore and phone calls. I used to answer the phone but no longer do as I have caller ID.

Is there a form that I can fill out to tell the Gutless Old Party to take my name of their membership list?

I belong to the stupid party.

The men that run the GOP are not stupid. They know EXACTLY what they are doing. This 'Republican Party is the Stupid Party' meme is providing them cover. The Republican Party is there to dissipate, misdirect, and subvert conservative political energies and it does a supreme job.

Several (a lot, actually) on FR advocate that talkshow hosts, like Rush, Hannity, Levin should moderate the debates.

I have great doubt that they would be that wonderful as debate moderators. I have heard too many of them, too many times, literally melt in fascination and awe when prominent politician figures show up on their programs to be interviewed. Those hosts turn into junior high school giddy little girls, guffawing at the being the presence of greatness.

I have heard too many of those hosts take stern, strong, adamant stands on issues. But when the politicial guest arrives on phone or in person to be interviews, the hosts melt and end up asking nerf-ball questions.

My First lady is thinking about changing her voter registration because of 0bamacare. Think about that for a second...

So far, I don't come under 0bamacare because I'm a Vet...

Oh, the First lady is not going to comply.

You, IRS, you just read that right? In the fwiw department (which FReepers can attest), she is well armed and well practiced.

Perhaps someone is assuming that people who are not interested in the GOP primaries will watch them on CNN or NBC because there is nothing else to watch on tv...

I however assume that those who tune in to watch the debates will do so because they have an interest...And since all who have an interest in the GOP debates also have access to Fox, they will tune in to Fox to watch the primary debates...

I don’t buy this guy’s rant...
