And who was sitting out there lying and creating a melodrama for his own reelection about GOP members on a disaster relief bill that had to be passed in 3 parts because it was so large?
The trouble is that we TAX FIRST and then try to figure out how to SPEND IT LATER.
All these crazy ideas that come up, like bridges to nowhere, are generated to get back money that is already taken indiscriminately.
Christie is doing what Christie needs to do to get back all the money the Federal government takes from his state.
If a state, or county, or city, or town doesn’t get back that money somehow, then it eventually withers.
The answer is to keep the money flowing locally in the first place. It shouldn’t have to make a round trip through Washington DC before it (possibly) comes back.
