Breaking: Holder Tries to Re-grab Texas, Announces Nationwide Attack on Election Integrity

Breaking: Holder Tries to Re-grab Texas, Announces Nationwide Attack on Election Integrity

J. Christian Adams

Two important developments this morning. First: Attorney General Eric Holder will announce that the Justice Department will initiate broad nationwide attacks on election integrity measures like Voter ID using the remaining portions of the Voting Rights Act. Last month, the Supreme Court struck down the 1965 triggers that forced 15 states to submit election law changes to Washington D.C. for federal approval.

Second: despite the Supreme Court’s ruling, the Justice Department announced it will try to recapture Texas under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act by showing the state continues to act with a racially discriminatory intent when passing voting laws.

Some of Holder’s reaction is because dozens of highly paid federal employees are now idled. James Buchanan won the Nobel Prize in Economics by explaining Holder’s actions as Public Choice Theory — bureaucrats announce policies to help bureaucrats, even if disguised as an act inspired by a public purpose.

For the last few weeks, Voting Section employees have taken extended coffee breaks, and even more extended lunches. But there was hope — outgoing Assistant Attorney General Tom Perez referred to the state of Louisiana as the “full employment for Voting Section lawyers state.”

That means Governor Bobby Jindal can expect more targeting by the DOJ Voting Section.

But this announcement is all about the midterm elections. Obama wants the House back, and the Justice Department is again being turned into a political weapon using the cloak of Civil Rights. This has become the new civil rights model. Because Democratic interests are so perfectly aligned with the civil rights establishment — in no small measure because of extreme block voting by American blacks — the DOJ is now an arm of the DNC.

Will states have the competence and ability to withstand Holder’s attack? There are ways. Whether they will use them remains to be seen.

“If Texas goes Blue, it’s over. They want to make Texas a Red state”.

You’re right, Postman. I went back and looked and my post was all messed up. I think you’re the only one who caught it. LOL

Is this the same Eric holder, accessory to murder, the one who sells semiautomatic weapons, horno de chiva, illegally to the Sinaloa Cartel El Chapo? No worries, we are ready to defend Texas. Come and take it. Ask Antonio de Santa Ana how that worked out for him, Eric.

Honesty and integrity in voting is what Holder is against

Agreed, Holder, Obama and the Dems know nothing of voter integrity. They only know "WIN" at all costs. Nothing is integrity with them. Lie, cheat, steal, what ever it takes to win and bring this Country down. They have no morals, they have no integrity, and now the Repubs are not much better. WE NEED TO START OVER.

We have a racist in charge of the DOJ. 0bama’s failure to fire him makes him complicit in his thuggery! Underneath Holder’s cool, calm demeanor is a vile, enraged, traitorous whitey-hater.

Why do you think HUD is gearing up to forcibly relocate minorities into the suburbs?

That is going to conflict with their Agenda 21 agenda of moving most people into the cities.

Have another little think on this one...i did.
Who is the most difficult to control?
That is who 'you' move to the cities,so you can easily control them.
Plus who do you want working 'in the fields'; sound familiar?

“No worries, we are ready to defend Texas. Come and take it. Ask Antonio de Santa Ana how that worked out for him, Eric.”

I’ve said it before and I will repeat it now. Amnesty for illegals isn’t ‘just’ about the Democrats getting more votes. It is also about having a faction of the country ready and willing to fight “certain states” for Obama and Holder.

Texas and Arizona have long been targets by this regime. They will give amnesty to the illegals and then will recruit the more radical of those ‘newly-made legals’ in their fight against Texas and Arizona. Holder and Obama don’t want to get their hands dirty, so this will be their solution, IMO. And hey, if the end result is that they have to declare Martial Law in Texas and Arizona...so be it.

At least, that’s my take on the intent of this evil administration.

what does that have to do with AG Holder suing Texas and placing the rest of the states on notice about trying to cut down on voter fraud?

We lost our chance at repealing Obama care anyways. The best we can do is defund it and shut down the government in the process..

Abbott, the Texas AG is running for governor. So I imagine that Holder has a fight on his hands.

Obama has that thug mentality, for sure. But he’s pure evil and Daley could not hold a candle to him.

We’re going to find out.

Daley, father or son, had about as much respect for the law as Obama does.

The state needs to take him to court and show that the man is trying to continue to try the same case by adding a new charge AFTER the court has made a decision on the merits and on the law.

By international law Texas retains the right to revert back to the Republic of Texas. All Texas has to do is inform the United States in a timely manner that the agreement between the Republic of Texas and the United States of America will be null and void on such and such a date. We do not have to secede, since we joined the US as a sovereign Republic we retain the right under international law to simply terminate the agreement.

Good luck with that. “International law” means about as much to TPTB as the Constitution does. Which is to say it means absolutely nothing.

I have a challenge for the Texas Independence folks. It’s a simple one. Just name the Texas city that you’re willing to see obliterated. Dallas, Houston, El Paso, whatever. Name the Texas city that you’re willing to see destroyed in an “unfortunate terrorist incident” if TPTB decide that Texas independence is a credible threat.

Texas seceshers sure do talk the talk when it comes to secession or independence or ancient treaties or whatever, but are you really willing to walk the talk? Lots of dead Texans are the stakes. Are you willing to pay the price?

If not, and I sincerely hope you aren’t, let me give you a second challenge. Stop thinking “bloody arm of Goliad” and start thinking “Gandhi.” Not Gandhi the pop-savior that is so popular in the lamestream media, but Gandhi the shrewd and effective politician.
