Conservatives Fear 'Conference' May Transform House Immigration Bills to Senate's Amnesty
Brietbart ^ | 21 Jul 2013 | Matthew Boyle

While House Speaker John Boehner is keeping a tight lid on his personal position on immigration reform, conservative activists and lawmakers fear the Republican leader may rubber-stamp Democrats' controversial legislation in a backroom deal with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Boehner declined to answer whether he supports what many on the left have come to term a “pathway to citizenship” for illegal immigrants during his appearance on CBS News’ Face The Nation on Sunday morning. For conservative lawmakers, that does not assuage fears that he and his deputies House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Whip Kevin McCarthy, and Budget Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan could be working behind the scenes cut a deal with Reid and President Barack Obama to achieve amnesty for illegal immigrants in America.

DRUDGE: IMMIGRATION SHOWDOWN: WILL BOEHNER CAVE? Boner has a pretty good track record of caving. If I were a betting man I would say the Senate Comprehensive AMNESTY bill will become law.

A refusal to oppose it means he is going to do exactly what we fear, slip it through in conference.

I’m not sure but I am halfway believing that Boehner, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy and, to a lesser extent, Paul Ryan have become full-blown inside-the-beltway accolytes of the ruling elite Democrats. They all appear to have become devious, conniving creatures working to advance the progressive agenda on several fronts—including immigration “reform” (aka amnesty).

I hope firmer Republican conservatives keep these surrender monkeys in line.

don’t they have to vote again on whatever comes out of conference?

Not that that is any better- there are enough democraps + RINO’s to assure it’s passage even if a majority of republican oppose it...

So what Boner would end up doing is passing any P.O.S. that promises GOP the world, thereby getting a majority of GOP votes, then sending it to conference committee where it is re-written to the original democrat bill, and then getting this ‘conferece’ bill back to the house where a mojority of democraps vote for it.

Pelosi was right- Boner IS the weakest leader in history.

Oh, you mean I can’t trust the GOP? After being sold-out on amnesty by “judas goats” Rubio and Ryan? After cavings on everything from fiscal cliffs to Obamacare, and abandoning the battlefield on every social issue? After years of backstabbing Sarah Palin?

No, for these very reasons I’ve lost every shred of faith, trust and confidence I once held for the Party.

I think the point you are missing is that once the AMNESTY gets out of conference, all Boner needs for passage in the House is all of the RAT vote + all the Boner-GOP "chairman vote" for it to pass. Boner will threaten them with the loss of their chairmanships. The conservatives will be screwed once again.

THIS IS THE STARW THAT WILL BREAK THE GOP FOREVER. BRING IT ON.

My thoughts exactly.

And they want it that way: They get to pretend to oppose it, while ushering it in for the coronation ceremony.

It’s all Globalist smoke and mirrors designed to thwart the will of the people and the sovereignty of our nation.

If the Republicans don’t pass anything by the August recess, the bill is toast. Blue-slipping it is the best way to get rid of it.

If you want to distract Boehner, a bottle of Jack Daniels waved in front of him might work better.

No, I don’t miss that point at all. That’s why NOTHING should be passed in the house relative to immigration at this time. The ONLY way I’d support anything (even some pure border security changes/enhancements) passing the house (and likely ending in conference) would be if 100% of the house conferees were 100% anti-amnesty and anti-amnesty in any form. If Boehner, Cantor or McCarthy or ANY (and I’m including people such as Trey Gouty) SUCH proponents of amnesty in any form were conferees WE’RE SUNK—AMNESTY PASSES.

I am 100% certain that the GOP and Democrat Elites are Globalists and willingly serve Globalist Banksters and their front Corporations.
