George Zimmerman found not guilty
Here are my own feelings regarding this highly publicized trial, which I followed the trial closely...each day.
The jury clearly looked at the evidence, which was overwhelming for the defense and Zimmerman.
Zimmerman's nose was broken and his face was bruised and bloodied after the confrontation. He had cuts and bruises on the back of his head. He had grass stains on the back of his shirt and pants. Treyvon had no injuries from the fight, except the gunshot wound. There were scrapes on his knuckles. And he had grass stains on his knees. All of this was supported by the forensic evidence and was not challenged.
It is clear who was delivering a beating, and who was receiving it. An eye witness indicated Treyvon was on top of Zimmerman and hitting him. Clearly, the one who was screaming histerically, and terrified for help, was the one being beaten, not the one on top doing the beating.
In almost all cases, the prosecution witnesses, under cross examination, gave testimony that ended up supporting Zimmerman's story.
It is tragic that things happened like they did. But neither person had broken any laws, or committed any crime, and could have walked away from this up until the time one of them decided to sucker punch the other in the face, break his nose and knock him down. Even then Treyvon could have walked away and had very little long term personal consequence. But when he began beating Zimmerman on the ground as he did, he took a path that led to his death. Zimmerman finally shot, and the forensic evidence showed that Treyvon was shot at close range, with the bullet traveling upward through his body (and his heart) while Zimmerman was on the ground.
There simply was not evidence of any hate crimes. There was simply no evidence of murder or negligence. The jury decided that Zimmerman was defending himself.
We know now that Zimmerman, an Hispanic male, mentored young black kids in his spare time. No racist there at all.
Howerver, the entire nation was treated to a biased, planned effort to make Zimmerman look like a racist who tracked down and killed a very young, happy black youth. Here are what America was regularly treated to, for months on end, characterizing the two:
Now, that is a picture that was specifically meant to support the false narrative that was estabished. See how menacing and bad Zimmerman looks? See how angelic Treyvon looks?
If they had a mind, they could have used other photos to make the exact opposite appear true. For example, here's one making Zimmerman look like an angel and Treyvon look like a demon.
See how that works. As it was, here's how they both actually looked near the time of the incident. Treyvon was a large kid. An athlete who was in good shape and about the size in relation to Zimmerman that this picture shows:
It is tragic that a 17 year old young man was killed. But, as you can see, he was not a "little" kid. He was 6' 2" tall, 170 lbs, and was quite muscular and fit as a high school football player. Zimmerman was 5'9", also weighed around 170 lbs, but was not in good shape. And Treyvon was not angelic...far from it. His facebook page and tweets make that clear enough, as does his own record...all of which the jury could not hear or see...and in the end, did not need to.
Would Zimmerman have died that night? We will never know. But he clearly thought he was in great danger, and he was definitely being beat up. So he finally pulled his gun and shot in self defense.
I pray the country can move on from this. This case was trumped up by politicians, the Media, and those seeking a racial cause. The local police had already pretty much determined what this jury found and that is why Zimmerman was released after being taken to the police station that night. These types of things happen fairly often in this nation of 350 million.
For example, shortly before this event, a black man, who was being stalked by 4-5 white thugs, was at home one night when these thugs came to his house and began calling him names, and throwing rocks at his home from his drive way. He was safe in his home. It was secure and he was armed. He did not have to go out. But they were on his property and he decided to go out and confront them. There was an argument. One of the young men, about 19 years old, charged the man yelling that he was going to hurt him. The man shot...and the 19 year old died.
That man was not tried. He was not arrested for murder or manslaughter. Everyone knew these kids were on his property and up to no good. He could have stayed inside, but he decided to confront the evil on his property and when attacked, he defended himself. I have no problem with it...and believe more Americans should send such messages to criminals when they are threatened. 911 takes on average 9 minutes for anyone to get there. Usually by that time, it is over.
That above case happened in Florida by the way...and there was no outcry, no demands to punish that man for killing the much younger man. It was clearly self defense...as was this case with Zimmerman.

The 7-11 bag that contained the fruit drink was on the sidewalk where the confrontation started. Now this is only my opinion. Martin took the drink from the bag. Now he has two weapons. A cell phone and a drink can. I think the hit on the nose was a cell phone. Notice the marks. The bruise on his right forehead was the drink can. Notice the crescent mark of the bruise.
That's pretty much how I saw it. Trayvon Martin left his father's property to pursue George Zimmerman. He became the Hunter. Got what he deserved.
Consider Obama's facial expressions towards Romney in the debates. Anybody could see him muttering "Creepy ass cracker" under his breath.
Thanks for the link to the article and the ABC video segment. Problem with Dan Abrams' prognostication is that he doesn't realize how radicalized the Obama-Holder Justice Dept. is, especially the Civil Rights Division.
"They won't win and they know that."? Depends a lot on the judge or judges. And by now, all too many of the federal judges are Obama or Clinton appointees, ever at the ready to do the bidding of the "civil rights" establishment. Hard to find judges today who will fully support an individual's use of self defense with a gun against even life-threatening physical violence.

He’s already taking that into consideration when he makes that statement. Any conviction would be appealed anyways. It’s going nowhere.
It’s all the same bluster just like after the Newtown attack, the politicians are getting media recognition for inflaming raw emotions.
It just won’t happen. There is no ABSOLUTELY no case. Obama is taking such a hit on this already..Like he cares....But Jesse etal knows it won’t happen. They just have to make noise...like preachers...goal...send money!! Keep the natives aroused.
Their destruction of the public education system HAS NOT made you safe.

Government education is not destroyed. It is performing **exactly** as the progressives of the mid-1800s planned. It is producing godless socialist drones that are as minimally educated as necessary to be a cog in the government machine. It’s taken 150 years of the progs’ constantly pushing at the edges of societal tolerance but they have arrived.
Children who attend socialist-entitlement K-12 schooling risk learning that the voting mob that gives them tuition-free schooling is powerful enough to give them LOTS of “free” stuff.
Children who attend godless schools **will** learn to think and reason godlessly. They must just to cooperate in the godless classroom. How could it be otherwise?

The blunt(s) that M may have had were not amongst his items found on the fight scene. It has been theorized that he perhaps toked up a blunt and smoked it on the way home. Another theory is that he hid his screwdriver/burglary tool in the buses near the fight scene on his first trip through. A further explanation suggests that he did go to his father's fiancee's residence, got rid of contraband there, then headed bac kto retrieve hos screwdriver, but ran into Z at the jucnture of his first track and Z's furthest advance. But now, it is simply a trail of fairy dust, which no one can ever know.
But it's over. The bottom line is that a citizen lawfully carrying a handgun effectively used it to thwart an unexpected criminal assault by an angry youth in the midst of the youth's attack.
Regardless of the reasons for the outcome, the youth deliberately initiated a murderous attack far beyond a mere confrontation. This is the central fact that must be asserted again and again, until the meme of "Z followed him" is submerged as not justifying a physical assault.

It found Treyvon Martin that night when he was brutally beating Zimmerman.
It found Zimmerman yesterday...at least for a start, because with Holder in as AG, it ain’t over.

Socialist-entitlement K-12 schooling was a progressive idea from the beginning. Teacher training and curriculum development haas **always** been controlled by progressives. Progressives have always been pushing for greater and greater centralization. Progressives have always been pushing the envelope of society's moral boundaries.
The progressives that brought us compulsory state controlled schooling in the mid-1800s to early 1900s would be thrilled to see the fruits of their labors, today.
Government owned and run socialist-entitlement K-12 schooling has always been evil.
