That’s why you buy a computer with HDMI-out. We have ours hooked up to a projector servicing a 108” screen. When I want to watch something outside of the media room, I can plug any television into the HDMI-out on my laptop and use the network to access everything stored on the basement computer or internet.

I just bought a new computer 5 months ago. I don't want wires and cables running all over my house. I really see no need to have everything in my house connected to everything else in my house.

I spend the majority of my time, most of the year, outside. Do not need to be “plugged-in” 24/7/365.

My main room is only 24’ x 28”. I don't need a 108” screen. (I am only about 16’ from my TV, so 70” is fine.) If I sit closer, the muscles in my eyes get tired turning eyes side to side.

I don't have a "media room" and I never just "watch TV". Don't watch many movies. I always "multi-task". I am always reading a newspaper, surfing the internet, rolling Easter eggs across the floor, or watching the box score of a sporting event while I follow something on TV.
