On Wednesday, Gen. Abdel Fatah Said Al-Sisi announced a military coup in Egypt. He said that the Constitution had been suspended, that early elections would take place, and that there would be a “code of ethics” for the media. He stated that the chief of the Constitutional court would be taking charge during a transitional period before another election. He said the new government would be “diverse and include all the people,” and that the constitution would be revised to reverse changes made by ousted Muslim Brotherhood President Mohammed Morsi.

Three questions for the Egyptian General: What did Morsi have to do with the Benghazi attack? What did Morsi have to do with Sadat’s assassination? Where is Mubarak and you you considered bringing him back?
Hopefully, that guarantor of Western Freedom, Vlad Putin, will let the Egyptian military know that they will take care of them, if necessary.
That is probably why the FBI fusion centers under Obama consider returning veterans likely terrorists, and why vets are getting mental health orders to deny them second amendment rights.
I think too many "millions" out in the street "know better". Just like Monkydinnerjacket's election in Iran, the ballot counting was over 48 hours before they could have possibly counted them.

Maybe if Egypt will choose to do right, and reject the things the Muslim Brotherhood stood for including hatred of Jews and non-muslims and reject violence, then perhaps God will open their eyes in other matters.
I’m not real hopeful any muslim country would do that.
I’m not really much of a bandwagon chaser and I’m not really interested in arguing with those who are. I just hope FReepers will remember a year from now when they’re wondering why Egypt isn’t a secular utopia.

Our current crop of military leaders are too stupid to carry out a coup...! Plus, many of them probably believe in communism as Obama does....!

Got to remember that the military, the rank and file are center-right folks and to an extent, a number of the generals.
Count on it happening, not all the generals are as bad as some of the FRpers think.
