Other than taxes, the major connection I see between government and marriage is military and employment benefits to families. How many spouses should the military cover per service member?

no, you do know that not all who marry get married in a church, right?
The church does not do divorce or who gets the kids and house.

The military shouldn't be paying for dependents anyway. Only in the Gov’t would we pay someone more because they have dependents, even though they are performing the same tasks as other persons with no dependents.

Taking over the population by taking over the women is a part of warfare we have been ignoring for too long.
You kill the men and abscond with the women and any other loot you can drag home.
