Until there are secure boarders, profiling by ethnicity and religion is common place and radical Islam is utterly defeated and shown to be morally bankrupt domestic spying is unavoidable and to be expected.

That, sir, is called trading freedom for safety.
I trust you know the rest of the aphorism?

domestic spying is unavoidable and to be expected Let me remind you of your rights.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Now tell me the following:
- What is reasonable about the NSA searching through all electronic communications of U.S. citizens?
- What is the probable cause that grants the NSA permission to do so?
- Where is the sworn search warrant that specifies that NSA may search and seize (i.e. collect & store) all electronic communications of U.S. citizens?
