Doubt it. Every refresh I've been through I've been told to back up emails and other data on the PC to a disk (since external drives are forbidden now).
But I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time...

I guess what I’m trying to say is that a refresh could be a convenient excuse to lose records. A good protocol would demand retention of records. I’m not expecting that solid protocols were in place much less followed.
