Let me guess: the GOP didn’t celebrate sodomy or want to endorse infanticide.
You can’t have the young vote unless you take back the educational system, and get a voice in the media as well.
Then conservatives say that’s impossible or they can’t be bothered. If they don’t want to run education in America, what can they expect to accomplish?
“Smart” phones and basements in the homes of their parents.
Politico.....what do you expect....
A marketing campaign is a mostly vain attempt to counteract 12-16 years of programming by leftists in schools and a lifetime of programming by leftists in media.
'Social and economic' issues is the usual code (which the GOP maddeningly adopts as its own) for tearing down any institution or tradition that doesn't comport with militant gay and/or socialist thought. Again, this loops back to programming.
Evicting leftists from the controls of the dam has a much greater prospect of success than attempting to hold back a flood of ignorance, paranoia and PC nonsense.
Now we have a generation whose chief point of political reference is Barack H. Obama, when that generation starts blaming him for things, they'll at least be more open to the idea of voting for Republicans.
I don’t know who said this, but it seems to have garnered an “AMEN” from lots of people:
“If you’re not a liberal when you’re 25, you have no heart. If you’re not a conservative by the time you’re 35, you have no brain.”
My tagline says it all. We let the left defne us in 2012. It worked. As one poster said, with young voters, we can’t expect a marketing campaign to counter 12 years of indoctrination. We have to be out there speaking to younger voters all the time. This means going on TV shows they watch, speaking on campuses and running ads throughout the year.
Paul Ryan wanted to go out on the tour of campuses and help convert some of these people. The campaign did not permit it.
Young people of both parties have spent their lives being indoctrinated in our government brainwashing centers, aka, the public school system. There’s no fixing that.
Our message is longer than a 10 second sound bite. Too much for the low information voters.
These dependent, "entitled", government-sucking parasites have been TRAINED to be Progressive-thinking, irresponsible, live-off-of-others and "I want it now" voters, and Conservatives are "old fogies" to them.
There's just as many asinine statements by the left, but the media doesn't pounce on them 24/7 like they do to Republicans.
They should just shut up and go be DemocRats.
Romney lost the election. Between being Mr. MassCare and convincing between 4 and 9 million Republicans to stay home, of course we lost. I have to say we have no chance in 2016 unless something truly dramatic in our favor occurs, although both houses of Congress are winnable. Finally, unless the Repubs get some courage to fight Dem cheating, stealing, and violence, it’s all over. A permanent Progressive government and an education union goon Stasi with unlimited billions of tax dollars will be very tough to uproot. What do we have this week? Issa being called a criminal and instead of fighting back, being a “gentleman.” Gentlemen don’t finish last. Gentlemen get exterminated.
Two words. John McCain.
At least you can’t say the GOP didn’t try. “Obama was born in Africa, tax cuts are creating jobs in China, war everywhere in on the table, Obama is a socialist, he married Gimi the Moocher, he looks like the devil”. And they nominated McCain followed by Romney. The GOP gave it their best shot.
It’s pretty easy to understand.
Today’s 20 somethings are second and third generation products of the Great Society.
They’ve been educated by progressives, informed by progressive MSM, and partake in progressive dominated social media.
Each year 2.5 million (mostly old/white/ majority R voting) people die and are replaced by (young/increasingly minority/heavily D voting) people.
We are definitely swimming upstream.
Easy. Bulk mailing hasn’t worked for 10 years.
