Putin and Netanyahu met face to face in Russia, a few weeks ago. I could be wrong, but my sense is that a deal was made, at that time, and this is all posturing, for public consumption. Thank you.

Most assuredly Israel will take out any ship that is bringing dangerous weapons of mass destruction to her enemies.
But Russia already knew that...
Well, maybe a nice short simple reminder like this fellow’s statement might be useful in avoiding any unnecessary unpleasantness. Hard for me to say from afar but probably he felt this way or he would not have made the (obvious) statement.
(None of this would even have come up if USA were still respected in the world... Putin laughs at us now, alas.... this is not a good thing for the future of world peace...)

Russia has a lot more to gain with Israel, than Syria, and a lot more to lose by crossing Netanyahu, than if Putin crosses Assad. I am pretty sure that this whole script was written a while back. Thanks.

Thanks for the alternate opinion. I disagree, but I’m not a paid consultant to Israel, so they’ll do what they want. I just think you get farther by doing things covertly rather than overtly.
Russia isn’t a walk over country.
