I suspect Robinson works for a Muslim owned/influenced news organization and could lose a good paying job if he didn’t apologize. He might lose his job anyway.
When they finally realize that "you reap what you sow" and they're so deep in their own self administered $hit that all we'll be able to say, or offer, is "SORRY ABOUT YOUR LUCK MATE."

The reporter could have described the suspect as appearing to be Christian, Asian, or anything, and it would be ok, but not muslim.
