Obamacare Funded IRS Big Data

The Internal Revenue Service blamed “low-level” Cincinnati staff for “inappropriate” targeting of conservative political groups for audits and examinations. I have established that the Cincinnati office is the largest of the five IRS Regional Processing Centers across the United States. Cincinnati has IRS authority over Delaware, where over one-million for-profit and not-for-profit entities are incorporated, and for approximately 80 million individual tax returns. Cincinnati also has authority over Key Presidential Battleground States of Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New Hampshire and Michigan that contained the 68 competitive electoral votes that determined the winner of the 2008 and 2012 Presidential election. With the Obama Administration relentlessly expanding the IRS’ “Big Data” power, the opportunities for IRS wrong-doing with this potent weapon is vast.

No one cares.

In fact, the most corrupt and partisan administration of the Twentieth Century is getting a free pass from the Liberal media, the Leftist labor unions, the homosexuals, the atheists, those on Obama’s dole, doctrinaire Marxists, and the vast hordes of certifiable idiots who are too busy abusing drugs, watching TV and chasing tail to protest the decline of America.

Not for long. The MSM can no longer ignore the fact the IRS’ frightening enforcement powers were used by the Obama Administration to go after political enemies. If that is the case, not only do we have major violations of Federal laws in regards to tax information privacy and disclosure, but possible election fraud, too.

Imagine how much stuff ( o ) bama has done that we don’t know about.

As of now, there is enough for Impeachment. It’s just a matter of the media getting on board and turning public opinion.

Will they forgive and forget?

Likely.

Don't take this personally, but I don't give a flying fig what "the media" reports on or doesn't report on.

The MSM is on its deathbed. They are dinosaurs smoking cigarettes in the snow and they have no idea their demise is imminent.

These scandals will be perpetuated through the efforts of Citizen Journalists like those who frequent FreeRepublic.com, Breitbart.com, TheBlaze, DrudgeReport, etc.

Democrat_media~:”.. abolish the tyrannical IRS”

If the IRS refuses to turn over documents to the House “Ways and Means” Committee ,
related to delaying non-profit status of groups titled ‘patriot’, ‘tea party’, or Christian groups,
then the House committee should defund that agency .

Governement should exist for the people , by the people
and not , in spite of the people .
If the IRS won’t comply with lawful requests from the House committee
eliminate their salaries and their perks,
that will get their attention and encourage compliance.

Enough for impeachment? There is enough to impeach, and charge him and cronies with high treason.

I can see HIPAA going the way of the Privacy Act once the IRS is in charge of our healthcare. Adios! Everyone is going to have your medical records. Especially if you’re a Republican, a TEA Party member, a conservative or a Jew.

I hope ya’ll are right - I really do.

However, I tend as a general rule - and based on fifty years of observing the passing political scene - to be a pessimist.

Texas Eagle~ (from the article which you cited ):..the Obama Administration empowering the IRS with the predictive power of “Big Data” was implemented without public hearings or publishing any privacy safeguards.

The IRS has already shown itself to be untrustworthy, and subject to political agenda,
and therefore unreliable, and has knowingly distributed confidential tax information
to liberal third parties without any remorse , contrition , or compunction.
There is no policeing agency or accountability committee which assures IRS actions remain independent of political agenda

Too True !!
The Data mine / IRS can punish your enemies, and reward its political friends , .. without oversight !

Twenty-first century. I know that it is hard to believe, but we are an seventh of the way through the 21st century. Bill Clinton was the most corrupt and partisan administration of the twentieth century. Otherwise, your post is absolutely correct.

Yeah, we need to seize the momentum and use this opportunity to spread the question: “Why does the IRS need this kind of power in the first place?”

If we pass a reasonable tax law, there would be no need for an intrusive IRS with this power waiting to be abused.

This is the scariest thing out there. We have to actively pursue abolishing both Obamacare AND the IRS simultaneously. Can we do it?

The left has contrived to install control over perhaps the two most intimate and vulnerable parts of life in the hands of an agency which is now known to be politically corrupt.

The IRS has been put in charge of policing Obama care and in the process it has evidently been equipped with all the cyborg tools it needs to monitor not just the payments, the insurance policies, but also treatment. At the same time the award of funding which was justified as the cost of policing Obama care has created an Orwellian digital Big Brother with the capacity to monitor not just our expenses but our hobbies and our preoccupations.

The intersection of these twin capacities to snoop is frightening in the potential but we now have real-time evidence that the IRS has already been exploited by leftists to intimidate the public and deny them their constitutional rights. The news tells us that the arch leftist Senator Chuck Schumer and other leftist senators, together apparently with some Democrat Congressman, have pressed the IRS in writing to be aggressive in reviewing conservative applications for 501(c)(3) status. Worse, the evidence is that the IRS has been targeting audits against individual newscasters who confront Obama with unwelcome questions. Allegations are now servicing that groups that do not conform to the administration's line on Israel are being similarly prejudiced.

Clearly, the computing power handed over to the IRS is awesome but entirely unregulated:

Privacy watchdogs and tax lawyers have voiced alarm that the Obama Administration empowering the IRS with the predictive power of “Big Data” was implemented without public hearings or publishing any privacy safeguards. They have warned that the Service is now engaging in “social audits,” signaling out horse-racing enthusiasts or sailboaters for special audits based solely on their lifestyles. By screening existing data for one million unique attributes, the IRS can develop profiles and target certain types of individuals by their behaviors.

Most American citizens react with fear that the mere mention of initials "IRS" because they are terrified that an arbitrary, unelected, but manipulable agency can and destroy their lives. Our Founding Fathers would no doubt worry that, beyond the price in individual anguish such an agency can cost us, it presents a real and present danger to our constitutional Republic because these powers vested in an agency which has shown itself to willing to break the law on behalf of one political party is inherently an instrument of oppression and tyranny.

The people will react because this can personally affect them but we patriots should be concerned for the survival of our constitutional democracy. It is difficult to avoid the temptation to see a conspiracy in all of this. Whether a conspiracy contrived to load all of this power into one agency and then have it subject to the manipulation of Democrats is not yet clear but there can be no question the Democrats in the Congress and in the White House have created a culture which permitted all this to occur. The outrageous statements of Julian Bond of the NAA CP serve to alert us that Democrats are circling the wagons by lining up their most reliable core constituency, African-Americans, and telling them the party line on this issue.

Whether this scandal touches Obama personally, I have no doubt that this is a scandal of corruption of the Democrat party. The scandal is cultural-we already know enough to know that. The suburban voters who are acutely concerned about the IRS should be made to understand that this is what you get when you vote Democrat. They should be made to understand that if they are to save their lifestyles, their homes, their doctors of their own choice, they must vote Republican.

They can collect all the data they want. If we lived in a virtual world everything would be fine. “consent of the governed” is a phrase that comes to mind here. They are making this land ungovernable. Fine. I can live with that. We will not have chaos, though. At my address the founders intent is still quite vibrant.

And the IRS is scheduled to have all our medical records and to decide who gets what kind of medical care starting next year?
