I can see them doing this...they aren't real bright who do the running....could have been a test...or distraction as well.
At any rate Moslems aren't about ready to buy them here anytime soon, without raising suspicions by most.

IIRC, Amsterdam was the transit point for the Nigerian-born Christmas underwear bomber.
Destination was the same too; Detroit, home to the largest concentration of Arabs in the country.
