Because they’re the ones who are going to foot the bill for having a police presence there 24/7/365. There’s already a patrol car guarding the grave site.

Just put a damn video camera there, with direct links to Langley & FBI HQ. Visitors to that grave site can go into a database of suspected jihadists.

Bill the family. There is no reason for them not to have handled this. Now the costs of guarding his grave are borne by others.

Exhume him & give him to the family. It’s their problem.

Were they stoopid enough to mark it?

If I lived and paid property taxes in Doswell, or if I were a local official in Doswell, I’d be damned sure there was no patrol car near the cemetery after this week. If it’s desecrated, it’s desecrated. Not as if that doesn’t happen all the time to cemeteries across the country, especially historic cemeteries.

Let the local mosque or cemetery itself pay to protect the gravesite if it’s important to them.
