SEN. MANCHIN: 'ABSOLUTELY' BRINGING GUN CONTROL BILL BACK FOR ANOTHER VOTE
Breitbart.com ^ | 4/29/2013 | Awr Hawkins

Speaking to FOX NEWS' Chris Wallace on April 28, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) said he is "absolutely" going to bring his gun control bill to the Senate floor for another vote.

The bill, the Manchin-Toomey background check 'compromise,' was tabled by Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) on April 17 after failing to get the votes necessary to pass. And since then, co-sponsor Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) has said he's done pushing the gun control bill.

And as Wallace pointed out to Manchin, even Democrats have lost interest in it.

Now he's just being stupid. If they didn't vote for it the first time, they're not going to buy it the second time.

“Now he’s just being stupid. If they didn’t vote for it the first time, they’re not going to buy it the second time. “

West Virginia is a conservative pro gun state. Manchin got himself elected by posing as a “different kind of Democrat”, conservative, pro gun, etc. well, it appears to me he is now outed. I’m hoping the good citizens of WV see it that way too and get him out in his next primary.

I’m curious too, BMW. They’re definitely up to something. NO ONE is THIS stupid.

I think the administration had something planned on vote day a few weeks ago that was ultimately untied due to Boston. They want to bring it back to make sure it gets the proper, ahem, attention from the administration.

And since then, co-sponsor Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) who still can't sit because of the blistering a**-kicking he got from enraged Pennsylvania gun owners, has said he's done pushing the gun control bill.

There. Fixed it.

Is this whole new gun grab an admission that The Brady Act is a failure?

Wasn't THAT supposed to bring about the very Shangri-La that this new gun grab bill is supposed to bring?

It’s dead, Jim.

As we inch closer to 2014 nobody is going to stick out their necks out again on gun control. It’s a certain loser for Senators living in red states and they actually just want the issue to go away right now.

The ONLY reason Manchin is doing this is because he thinks he’s far enough away from his own re-election (if he actually runs for re-election) to be able to do this.

As Toomey himself has said, they had a vote and there is no reason to think a new vote would turn out any different. Even Dingy Harry said gun control is on hold.

It’s dead, Jim.

Sure is a tired old story, isn't it...

Here in East Virginia, that's how the reprehensible, invisible Mark Warner was elected in 2008, as a "different kind of democrat... an 'independent voice.'" In reality, he's one of Obama's most loyal and adoring lapdogs. Ditto for Tim Kaine and the turdball he replaced, Jim Webb.

Unfortunately that’s a ways away yet. So, if the progs/Radical Left Wing Extremist Demokkkrat Scumbag Socialists are really serious, quit the BS discussion, since infringed means you don’t touch it, and propose an amendment to the constitution that would basically make the 2nd amendment null and void. No more BS about “assault rifles”, no more stupid statements about “high capacity clips”, no more “high powered weapons” crap. That way, if they can actually get the required votes to sustain the amendment, then it’s over and done with. No more incremental chewing away at something they aren’t supposed to mess with. When it’s rejected, as it should be, then they(RLWEDSS) forever would be disallowed from attempting any further infringement. When it goes down to a defeat, little lord fontleroy (aka king hussein) could have another petulant temper tantrum like a spoiled 3yr old who’s never been told “no” or because he didn’t get his way. Sack up progs and propose it. Let’s settle this once and for all.

Guns and coal.

Manchin betrays West Virginians in both categories.

What a quisling.

I heard them plotting on MSNBC, they plan on doing it next year AFTER the GOP primaries when GOP Senators are running back to the left or middle for the general election.

Hey! Little Lord Fauntleroy was actually a nice little kid. Intelligent, kind, brave (everything that Obama is not).

His mama dressed him funny, but he couldn't help that, it was the fashion.

Yeah, Manchin said if he could just get Senators to READ the bill. That was the problem - what was in it, stupid!

Wait wait wait...so they're going to force red state Dems to vote for gun control in the middle of the general election?

Brilliant!!!

True. I didn’t mean to insult Little Lord Fauntleroy. Sorry. LOL! I also failed to mention that if such a thing did occur, it would have absolutely NO impact on the bad guys. It goes without saying that the criminals don’t give to craps about no steenkin’ laws. Then we could all cower in our closets like the Bostonians did during the great man/boy hunt post Boston marathon bombing.
