K-9 ( go get um) dog might be a Belgian Shepherd Malinois and
the EOD K-9 might be a Labrador
I'd rather have a Malinois. Smaller, smarter, sounder.
Of course for nose and work ethic nothing beats a Lab. I have a small one that's trained for detection work (among other things), she's a caution. 12 years old and will work till she drops.
