Sen. Lautenberg Wants Background Checks To Buy Gunpowder

WASHINGTON, D.C.—In the wake of the deadly bombing attacks in Boston, U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) today announced that he will reintroduce legislation he has proposed in a prior Congress to require that sales of explosive powder be subject to a background check. He will also file the legislation as an amendment to the gun violence prevention bill currently on the Senate floor.

Current law allows an individual to purchase as much as 50 pounds of explosive “black powder” without a background check, and also permits an individual to purchase unlimited amounts of dangerous “smokeless powder” and “black powder substitute” without a background check. Sen. Lautenberg’s proposal would change that and require a background check for any purchase of these explosive powders. These powders can be used as the explosive material in assembling pipe bombs, used in the Columbine school shooting, and pressure cooker bombs, which may have been used in the recent Boston attack.

Does the idiot fossil even know that black powder is easy to make? Once upon a short time ago, kids would make the stuff all the time. Even Captain Kirk fighting the slithering Gorn made it in a jiff.

An anonymous poster said the bombing was a false flag to make an excuse to background check powder as a means of shutting down reloaders.

I think this was a horrible event, and certain politicos want to take advantage of it. No false flags involved.

Lautenberg undoubtedly intends to institute background checks for anyone wishing to eat beans, for fear of the explosive outgassing.

Except for members of congress, of course, who clearly eat beans every day - and without any background checks or permits.

Remember, Lautenberg needs this to be done so he can tax us for the "Global Warming" gases expelled when we fart...

Background checks for everything except voting.

The Senate acts like they are 100 presidents, each introducing a pet national solution to local state problems, and not even in their own states.

Is it true that he's been working as an extra on The Walking Dead? I hear that the hair and makeup people on the set just love him; a little powder, muss his hair a bit, and he's good to go.

#5: If there were background checks on candidates and elected members of Congress, you wouldn’t have most of the Congressional Black Caucus (Reds and sympathizers like Conyers, Rangel (Crockett - pars == out of office), (Dymally), (Washington), (McKinney), (Mitchell), Diggs (was in jail), Sheila Lee Jackson (throw in a mental check too), Fudge, Hastings (impeached crook), Jeffers (in jail), Barbara Lee - red; etc).

Other present and former repres. with red pasts- Bella Abzug - CPUSA and Soviet asset; Ted Weiss, red; Charles O. Porter - red; Don Edwards - protector of Communists; Don Fraser - nuts; Sen. Alan Cranston - suspected Soviet asset, Office of War Information and the Carlos Tresca murder; 1930’s NKVD paid agent Rep. Emanual Dickstein; former CPUSA member Augustus Hawkins; Sen. Tom Harkins - long red record going back to Vietnam, as well as being a fake Vietnam veteran; The Burton Brothers and wife of one - up to their neck in the Communist Party of California network; Hugh DeLacey, CPUSA and key friend of Leon Panetta (CIA); etc.

Get my drift? There are many more CPUSA members from the 1940’s whose names I haven’t listed but they are found in several books as well as in the SPCUA’s Appendix IX volumes.

And if I recall correctly, the formula is something like; Charcoal-75%, Potassium Nitrate-15% and Sulfur-10%. My chemistry was high school only and about 52 years ago but I think that’s about right.

We already have a law. Thou shalt not kill. We also have a positive called “The Golden Rule.”

Too bad the teaching of them has been banned from our schools and public forums!
