The Right to Keep and Bear Arms is a God-given Unalienable Right and will be Defended!!
vanity | April 16, 2013 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/16/2013 4:09:55 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

The threat of gun confiscation by the government was the spark that ignited the American Revolution (look up the Battles of Lexington and Concord). Americans have cherished their God-given right to keep and bear arms long before the constitution or the second amendment was even ratified to guarantee it.

Our unalienable God-given rights are enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and guaranteed by our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Millions of patriots have fought and many died defending same. Our God-given rights are paid for by the sacrifice of the blood of patriots, warrior and civilian alike. And the debt can never be paid in full.

Millions of us are armed and have sworn an oath to defend our constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

The traitors among us, especially those who represent us in the government had best examine their positions in regards to God, country and constitution.

Give up our right to keep and bear arms? Not on my watch!!

Prayers up for the Bostonians who again have shed first blood.

Prayers up for our free nation.

Praying we can get many patriot and conservative groups together to march on Washington in defense of our God-given rights.

No one can deny an American citizen the right to protect and defend his or her family. No one.

This is why we lose - we are law abiding citizens. Which means that, when they come for us, we will hand over our guns. Such has been the case in every instance of gun confiscation thus far - look at New York.

When they come for my neighbors, I will do my best to make sure that the tyrants will be unable to get a conviction. They may be able to steal guns from a few law-abiding citizens, but they won't get a felony conviction or jail time with a jury trial. That's what nullification is for. Arrest a few decent Americans, charge them with something frivolous, and fail to get a conviction because of widespread nullification, and it will all be over for Big Government - the remaining patriots won't wait for the thugs to come to them before they reach for the ballot box or some other appropriate box.

I'm praying that the far left fringe understand what they are about to provoke. They aren't very smart, but "shall not be infringed" is pretty clear even by liberal standards. I took an oath to defend my country against all enemies, foreign and domestic. My country includes my neighbors, "all enemies" includes gun grabbers, and that oath didn't come with an expiration date.

Amen on the gun clubs. That needs to go viral.

And August as second amendment month would be great. In fact, I’m more than willing and able to go “camping” for the entire month of August just outside of DC if there is an appropriate place to do so. That’d be “encamping” or bivouacking and reenacting Revolutionary and Civil War battles. Need a very large group to surround DC. And maybe daily patriotic parades through the city from different directions with companies of “civilian soldiers” marching and on horseback, complete with flags, pennants, fife and drum corps, musketry, caissons and cannon. If we can get (ahem) government permits to do so on the mall, great. If not, maybe outside the city limits.

If I had my druthers, we’d have tens of thousands of armed citizens camping, marching and reenacting revolutionary and civil war battles, surrounding and just outside the DC boundaries for weeks on end.

Well Jim, y'know the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg is coming up in July and they are expecting a large crowd....

Now that sounds interesting. We spent a day and night in Gettysburg once on the way home from one of our Tea Party tours. Have always wished we could go back and spend a week or two.

Had lunch at the Pike Cafe just outside Gettysburg and asked the waitress where the battlefield was. She said it was all around us.

After the Tea Party Rally in DC, my daughter and I stayed there overnight and toured the battlefield the next day.

A solemn day to be sure.

It really helped me to put current issues into perspective.

This was the closest I could find so far. I may check with one of my FReepathon graphics gurus and see if he can create one.

That one is just about right.

I recall several years ago, my F.I.L. said he was afraid God would hold us accountable if we do nothing to stop the rise of Satan and that is what our opponent really is.

Do I think Obama is Satanic? I sure do tho can’t say for absolute certainty. I can say for sure that abortionists are Satanic and have no fear of being corrected.

I keep asking folks ‘why would the government want to pass laws that they know only law-abiding citizens will abide by and the criminals will ignore? Why does a government want their populace of law abiding citizens to be unable to defend themselves? Doesn’t abrogating the Constitution make the law passers the criminals? The cirminals don’t want We The People able to defend ourselves from criminals.

Well, the right of self-defensive,to protect what is our own, is “God-given.” And we certainly can defend ourselves against an unjust government. As St. Augustine said. What is a kingdom without justice, but band of robbers?”

Geography aside, the gun-control movement has another problem: Gun-rights advocates are just infinitely more interested in this issue than the average American. Bill Clinton warned Democrats about this in January, urging them to remember that “these polls that you see saying the public is for us on all these issues — they are meaningless if they’re not voting issues.” Message: Gun owners are engaged; most people are not. Mother Jones’s Kevin Drum put his finger on this this morning:

How did this happen even though, as liberals remind us endlessly, 90 percent of the American public supports background checks? Because about 80 percent of those Americans think it sounds like a reasonable idea but don’t really care much. I doubt that one single senator will suffer at the polls in 2014 for voting against Manchin-Toomey.
