Would have expected it to displace the mail box. You would think so. If that's the bomb it's not saying much about the security in the area unless it was placed there only seconds before the explosion. They say Homeland Security sets up in the area and did so yesterday as well.
If you notice there appears to be a smoke stream in the street which appears to have come directly from the spot where the bag was in the other photo.
