And if the illegals don’t become citizens they can’t vote.

What dream world do you live in? The Supreme Court is about to rule that all yo have to do is give your word that you are a citizen to vote. California has a law that you can't even ask about citizenship at the polls. Many cities let non citizens vote in elections.

The one thing we can console ourselves with is that once amnesty is passed, all the people who went along with the GOP on it will suffer financially and perhaps even personally.

I am to the point where I literally hope to see them get what they asked for. In spades. Whare’s that Cartman pic about delicious tears of sadness when you need it?

"Reagan’s biggest mistake was falling for the amnesty trap in 1986. Too many Republicans are doing the same thing, Democrats have no plans to secure the border. I like Rand, and of the people I think will run in ‘16 he’s the one I’m most likely to vote for, but as long as dems have the senate, the house, or the presidency there will be no attempt to secure the border.

With that said, I have a feeling by time 2016 rolls around illegal immigration will be the least of our concerns."

Noob makes the best post of the thread.

“And it’s working. The AP/MSM new what they were doing by publishing this report, facts be danged.”

It really is cary when major news outlets are willing and able to lie and slander so aggrievedly to suppress political rivals.

I suppose on the bright-side this might improve Rand Paul’s standing with liberal Hispanics. Hopefully Conservatives will know the truth and not hold their lies against him.

Oh, please.

He says they can go to the back of the line? Back of the line for what? Tea and crumpets? NO, for citizenship. That’s amnesty.

I’ve read one page of posts here and it looks as though they have succeeded, whether they were reporting the truth or not.

” You believe in a functioning border or you do not.

You want the rule of law or you do not.

Period.”

Apparently, this is too difficult for many here to understand.

Don’t worry. It’s recently been established that one can be/think/believe whatever the hell they want and still be part of the Conservative club. We have to broaden our horizons afterall.....

In the last month I have seen “Conservatives” argue for win at all costs, Accept Abortion moderation (the lives of children) in exchange for votes, A moderated homo-marriage stance and more.

So it’s all good!!!!

Yeah, we need to stand for nothing.

Sell our souls to the devil, and we win by losing. What a concept!!

:)

Several have opused, a couple Zotted. They take their commitment to dead children, homos and the GOP very seriously.

More psuedoCons should follow their example. Somewhere else.

I’m getting to the point of apathy to be honest. So few people care about honesty, principle, right and wrong. And they are PROUD of their BS. At this point I am honestly running on anger with them, knowing we won’t likely win. Willful ignorance and acting exactly like liberals just pXXXes me off.

Rand Paul’s immigration speech
03.19.13 | Hon Sen Rand Paul (KY)
Posted on 03/19/2013 7:04:07 AM PDT by Perdogg
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2998395/posts

...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let’s start that conversation by acknowledging we aren’t going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

[but he’s not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]
