Back in the 90's I subscibed to National Review. A fellow wrote a letter to the editor saying something on the order of. "Why can't they make great movies anymore without using so much profanity? The other day, I went to a movie and they used the F-word so many times, that at intermission I went to the refreshments counter and ordered an f'ing coke and an f'ing popcorn and they kicked me out of the theater."

Does anyone think that movies like Shane and The Searchers would be better using the f-word?

ALl the cursing and nudity detract from the story. The story is what they are avoiding because they have no creativity
