Makes a good point about recoil and novices, but you don't give a woman a 12 gauge and say, "Just pull the trigger" and wait for the *fun*.
My wife is just 5'1" and can handle my 12 gauge, 30 .06 and .44 Redhawk with magnum loads, but she was taught the proper holding techniques and what to expect.
Some of that clip was just plain scary.

The "men" (I use the term loosely) who make that kind of 'Haha ... look at the silly girl ... girls can't shoot' video are complete jackasses.

The real incompetence is on the part of the "men" (again, I use the term loosely) who obviously don't know jack about teaching someone to shoot.

I agree. The boyfriends or husbands of these ladies were idiots for putting their wives & girl friends (and anyone else in proximity, including themselves) at risk when they didn’t even know how to hold the shotguns securely against their shoulders. Plus I wouldn’t want my shotgun to be flipped up & over, and falling hard on the ground or cement.

Nor to a guy who's never fired a shotgun, even a 'big' guy, I know. My buddy Joe, built like a brick Sh*t-House and the strongest of our bunch, got knocked on his butt firing a 12ga for the first time.

It was when we were yutes, 18-21 (before all the stupid gun laws). Joe took Glenn's 12ga Rem Autoloader and thought, 'No Big Deal' as Glenn was a skinny guy. Well Big Ole Joe wound up on the ground from the recoil. He took a lot of ribbing for that as he was kind of a know-it-all. Don't think Joe ever fired a shotgun again.
