I personally know of a pries who receives large investment income checks from assets donated to him. He does NOT distribute that money to the poor. He can not be the only one who has had investment income like that donated to him. This is only the tip of the iceberg. However, lightning awaits those who reveal details...

Reminds me of the Cardinal during King Henry VIII reign.

At least you can say that the current Pope didn’t amass great fortune or get caught up in the wealthy trappings of the Church.

He may be a secular priest (not in an order), they have to pay for their own retirement. Without more information your point is, um, pointless.
