Schlockumentary filmmaker Michael Moore isn't pleased with the level of outrage or support for stronger gun control following December's massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.
To gin this up further, he wants someone to release the pictures of the slaughtered children:
I believe someone in Newtown, Connecticut – a grieving parent, an upset law enforcement officer, a citizen who has seen enough of this carnage in our country – somebody, someday soon, is going to leak the crime scene photos of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre. And when the American people see what bullets from an assault rifle fired at close range do to a little child's body, that's the day the jig will be up for the NRA. It will be the day the debate on gun control will come to an end. There will be nothing left to argue over. It will just be over. And every sane American will demand action. Moore discussed what such pictures might look like:
The six-year and seven-year-old children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School were each hit up to eleven times by a Bushmaster AR-15 semi-automatic rifle. The muzzle velocity of a rifle like the AR-15 is about three times that of a handgun. And because the kinetic energy of a bullet equals one-half of the bullet's mass multiplied by its velocity squared, the potential destructive power of a bullet fired from a rifle is about nine times more than that of a similar bullet fired from a handgun. Nine times more. I spoke to Dr. Victor Weedn, chairman of the Department of Forensic Sciences at George Washington University, who told me that chest x-rays of a person shot with a rifle will often look like a "snowstorm" because their bones will have been shattered into fragments.

So when police release pictures of gruesome serial murder victims strangled and cut through the throat, citizens will agree to ban 1/4” rope?
If you search up “chinese executions” in an image search you’ll see close up what an AK does to people. No need to use the kids. Maybe we should all send him images from that?
It’s a good lesson from a place where only the government, police, and criminals are armed.
They would be a lot less gruesome than a picture of Michael Moore.

One of the disturbing things about Newtown is that no security camera footage was ever released, the parents were not even allowed to see their children one last time to say good-bye (or to give positive identification), and all caskets were closed at the funeral.
Quite inconsistent with protocol in similar tragedies.
So go ahead, Mike, sound off. And while you’re at it, let’s find out what Eric Holder had to say when he was there, and why he had to say it in secret. News blackout on that one too.

Here’s a better idea Mikey, one you can carry out right away. Go over to a local photographer near you, strip down, and have him take hundreds of photos of you in the buff. Send the whole portfolio to Mayor Bloomberg with permission to use any or all of them for billboards, bus ads, store posters, soda cups, etc. to help his new “portion control” campaign with New Yorkers.
This way, you will help save lives more effectively than anything Bloomberg has thought of to date.
I can see the Portion Control ad campaign roll out (interesting choice of words) right now. Beneath each glorious photo of your quivering expanse of flesh would be the warning, “You don’t need Moore!”
So screw consideration of the families of the victims, MM has an agenda to flog.

The “jig”, as Moore puts it, would be up for the Democrats if the media accurately reported on who’s doing the killing in America, how many murders aren’t solved, plea deals and flat out not even being charged.
And then they want to take OUR firearms away?
I agree and would like to see a forensic report on what type of bullets were recovered ?? The first responders said they found an AR-15 in the trunk of the guys car and that he used two 9MM pistols but then the media reports the people were shot with an AR-15 assault rifle!! Who do you believe, the first responders or the media?
They should post pictures of Moore’s liver.

MA Senate candidate (for Kerry’s seat) Ed Markey (D) has his first ad (for primary) running and it immediately shows him as a gun grabber. Starts off with former NRA head Charlton Heston holding up a rifle and doing the “from my cold dead, hands bit”. The general idea is vote for Markey and we’ll take away the guns from those Neanderthals who worship guns and ammo.

There continues to be a lot of misinformation about Newtown. The AR-15 was used by the murderer in the school, per the Medical Examiner’s comments. Lanza committed suicide with one of the 2 handguns he was carrying. The “rifle” recovered from the trunk of the car was the Saiga 12 shotgun. The Saiga has a very similar appearance to the AR-15, which spawned a lot of confusion. Check an image, on-line, to confirm.
I do believe that you’ve caught the proper spirit of the campaign ... now we just await the - cringe - photos. As Colonel Kurtz said at the end of Apocalypse Now, “The horror ... the horror ...”
All I heard about was one or two funerals for the murdered children and one or two adults.
Why weren’t more publicized? Were there actually any more than that?

They haven’t said anything about computer contents yet, possibly because they were smashed up and so the forensics will take longer. But they did find written documents of some kind indicating that fame and a desire to outdo the body count of the Norwegian mass killer Andrew Breivik were factors.
This makes the media culpable for the continual sensationalism regarding these crimes in furtherance of their political agenda. Not that they are ever going to admit that.
Your statement is untrue. I read an article of one mother who insisted on seeing and saying goodbye to her young sons corpse.
Identification was done via facial photography by the coroners office. The coroner said as much in his first public interview.
One would think every one of the parents would have insisted to see their child one last time. Was this mother ever allowed to actually see with her own eyes her son? If she was allowed to, it seems likely the other parents would demand the same, would it not?
I saw the coroner say in that interview to the press he has ‘very good photographers’.
My understanding from prior homicides is that anything other than a visual inspection by a family member or close friend is not legally considered a positive id. The only exceptions are if literally nobody acceptable can be located and make a physical appearance.
Yes, she was allowed to see her child and yes, photo id is legal and common, particularly under gruesome circumstances.
Also, we don’t know how many parents insisted on seeing their children because they didn’t talk to the press.
I only know about the one, because she agreed to be interviewed.
Many may have had private viewings and opted for closed casket funerals because of the media. It’s what I would have done.

I can’t seem to find anything that says one of the mothers insisted on and actually got to see her slain son. But then again I’m not that good with a computer either.
If you could it would make a lot of people feel better that at least one parent got to see her son and say some parting words to him.
