Undercover cops fatally shot a teenager in Brooklyn last night after he pointed a loaded gun at an officer, police sources and witnesses said.
Kimani Gray, 16, was shot in the leg and stomach when he whipped out a .38-caliber revolver after adjusting the waistband on his pants, said cops.
The two undercover officers, driving a red umarked car, had approached the group of teens because they were acting suspiciously on East 52nd Street near Snyder Street in East Flatbush just before 11:30 p.m.

No, she’s waiting for Je$$e Jack$$son to say all those things. That’s his job.
He may have but the perp apparently did not.
:)
He’d probably saw it off. Judging from that picture of him where he isn’t leaning into the gun whatsoever, I’d surmise he isn’t the most skilled shot in the world. I was thinking more along the lines of a Perazzi with gold hula girl inlays that shoots rose petals.
ROTFLOL Maybe a choom field background with a smoking doobie on one side.
My father wouldn't have let me pull the trigger on a shotgun until I learned to shoulder it properly. It's a long reach back for my memory but I think I already knew that from handling BB guns and .22s for a few years before I was introduced to the wonderful world of shotgunning. 0bama's such a douche!
Contra the criminal technique; when presented a situation, watch the hands. All sorts of yelling and commotion when the cops show up, but I’m deaf. So there’s five sets of hands to scrutinize. Hand-hand-hand-hand-hand/firearm: GO. Sort it out later in a more civilized environment. No excuse to draw on the cops, or any citizen on the street. None at all. Do it and you’re dust. Lethal force is always bad PR as far as cops vs. bystanders go, but the wages of sin, or overconfidence in yourself just because you’re packing is....
Please note interchangeable cylinders of .357 Mag (9mm) and
.44 Colt(.45 Auto):

Ruger also makes a Convertible .22 LR/ .22 Mag.

***A .38 is different from a .357. Yes you can use 38 caliber bullets in a .357 but NOT the other way around. Talk about eating your own!***
Years ago, Skeeter Skelton, gun editor of SHOOTING TIMES, found that there were some .38s with too deep chambers that would chamber a .357 mag round.
I have a lot of .38 spl military cases that I have loaded very hot to shoot in a .357 lever action rifle. They have a warning not to shoot them in a .38 spl pistol.
another treet agitatorlike the one in our whitehouse?
Not a Colt or S&W.
I thought it was an ASTRA but my book THE ILLUSTRATED ENCYCLOPEDIA OF HANDGUNS by A B ZHUK shows, on page 81, it to be an piece of Rohm GmbH junk. A RG-57 to be exact.
Ever see "Coming to America" with Eddie Murphy? Just think what Devonte could have been had he only been allowed to live!!
But no, those wyatt men had to shoot him down when he wasn't running but was only pointing a gun at police.
“The teenagers friends refused to say exactly what prompted the cops to fire”
Someone pull a gun on me, and I’ll shoot too
You beat me to it.
The cylinder release is the first clue.
The cylinder release, coupled with the shape of the hammer, then the unshrouded base pin... means it’s a Rohm.
It’s a piece of crap. Cheap metal, poorly fitted. It’s a piece of crap, through and through. I’ve seen guys put inordinate amounts of effort into trying to fix Rohm .22LR revolvers.
Personally, I’d rather rub cow patties into my hair before I owned one.
” the perp would have gotten shot if he pointed a .22 at an officer.”
He would have been shot if he pointed a Chihuahua at an officer!;)
And lets not for get he was an entreprenuer and a father of 8
And was it ABC that digitally “removed” the blood from Zimmerman’s scalp?! Scum!
It’s not a Colt or S&W. I’d guess maybe Rossi or older Taurus. I don’t regard Glocks very higly, but they’re light years better than the off-brand junker in the pic.
I still think it’s a low-end pot-metal junker. It’s certainly not a Colt or S&W.
No Colt Trooper ever had a crane like that. It’s several steps lower than that.
Yeah, I’m thinking Astra. Couldn’t think of the name. Astra also made some good quality guns, but that one’s a couple of cuts below a Colt or S&W.
A .38 Special gun will not chamber a .357. The .357 case is 1/10th inch longer to keep idiots from blowing themselves up.
