Get THIS! Gramps and I were going to change ownership, just the paperwork mind you, on a handgun that had been in the house for many many many years. We had to literally take it to the dealer, leave it there for 10 days so I COULD COOL OFF....before it could be transferred.
We decided it was too stupid to do, so we left the thing in his name. It has yet to shoot anyone or anything.

You can go buy a Two Ton Vehicle with nothing down, drive it off the Lot and run over a Crosswalk full of Cub Scouts, but you have to wait ten days to pickup a .22 Plinker that you already paid for.
