Rand Paul: I Don’t Think Obama Will Kill Americans
TPM Livewire ^ | 03/06/2013 | Igor Bobic -

Posted on 03/06/2013 2:43:22 PM PST by Responsibility2nd

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), filibustering John Brennan's nomination to lead the CIA on Wednesday in objection to the Obama administration's policy on targeted drone killing, ceded that President Obama personally was not the issue.

"I frankly don't think he'll be killing people in their homes tonight," Paul said.

At stake, Paul explained, was the prospect of unchecked power afforded to the executive branch if clear rules governing lethal force within the United States are not established.

yes indeedie.

the fact the the American people are even worried that their government will soon attack them with military tanks and over billion combat-type bullets (not to mention drones in the skies)

just the fact that America has been made to worry about its “government gone wild”

is itself an extremely serious problem indicative of the type of failed leadership we have in most of our politicians today

Obama won’t kill any Americans. He’ll make someone else do it so he doesn’t take any blame.

I don't think Oboma will kill Americans

at the very heart of this issue is an implied question; do I trust this government to do what is right and good for me, my family and this country? Rand Paul is asking it and by any American having to ask that question, in and of itself provides the answer.

Basically what I just said on another thread.

What they all must realize now is they need to ALL come forward and be brazen and vocal. He can't kill them all.

Right now, Woodward, paul and Cruz need to be very careful.

And I wish I was just paranoid.

Rand Paul: I Don’t Think Obama Will Kill Americans

And neither would Clinton. Janet Reno on the other hand...

Now about Eric Holder or Janet Napalitano...

Obama would have killed the Hutaree rather than risk them all being acquitted.

He most certainly has killed Americans. The biggest danger I see is these pansyassed PC politicians underestimating the guile of the Zero.

The question is: Does one man alone, oboma, a racist and bigot with a chip on his shoulder, have the right to kill Americans on American soil at will?

That's what this is. The rest doesn't matter. The title of "Terrorist" will be his and his alone to give.

That's a pretty scary thought. That's how far America has fallen.

The left supports a dictatorial drone program - for now. If the economy can hold out until 2016 and we take the presidency with, say, a outspoken TEA Party member, will they still feel the same? Would they still feel secure in their homes?

I have no doubt that Obama will target people on his enemies list as soon as he can.

FYI, Brian Williams just read the headlines for his evening newscast.

Not one word about the filibuster or the drone strike situation. The MSM is going to ignore this just like everything else that might cast the President in an unfavorable light.

So if we have “clear rules” the Executive can murder people without due process?

From the filibuster:

Paraphrased slightly: “The point is the president should come forward and explain his position.

Whether or not we believe in America that there are some rights in America we are not giving up on.

It’s about constitutional principles that we should not give up on.

We need to fight for something that is classicly American. Our individual rights. To be tried on a court by our peers.” ~ Senator Rand Paul

And now they’re talking about it.

And they’re giving a pretty balanced report. Another accomplishment for Senator Paul.

He’ll make someone else do it so he doesn’t take any blame.

And then he can claim he didn't know anything about it.

His methodology for domestic issues is a little more subtle.
