Jeb Bush, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Eric Cantor, Mitch McConnell ...
The fact that those people are invited speakers tells you that the ACU’s goal has little to do with conservatism.
They could scratch Jeb Bush and Eric Cantor and I probably wouldn’t complain. I think the establishment is pushing them on us for 2016. There may be another one or two squishes on the list that I don’t need to hear from again.
I’m done with squishes.
Carly Fiorina is an ACU board member?!! When did Carly become so prominent in the conservative movement?
Not one of them will address the communist-Islamist alliance that put a foreign enemy combatant in our White House - who is systematically destroying this country’s foundations, abandoning our allies, and lifting up our enemies. They are guard dogs that rolled over and fell asleep while the enemy ransacked the whole house.
Right now there is nobody who gets much but a “meh” from me. Nobody in the public eye has the courage to be real with the country about what is happening. Some are braver than others but none will address the elephant in the room.
Certainly some squish on that list (McConnell? Carly Fiorina? Noot? REALLY?) but on the whole, a pretty good one.
The one that really bugs me, though, is Romney. He’s literally yesterday’s news and his candidacy split the conservative movement right down the middle. He did far more harm than good to the conservative cause and really shouldn’t have been invited.
They have Allen West and Sarah Palin on to speak?
Maybe there is still some hope.
