The Colorado health department is ordering bankrupt Abound Solar to clean up hazardous waste and thousands of solar panels that it says are unsellable at four Front Range facilities.

Idiot envriros have no concept of what hazardous chemicals, materials, and manufacturing processes are used to generate “green” energy.
Wonderful irony. The enviros use carcinogens to make their green energy solar panels and then can’t sell the panels because they aren’t cost effective and may be categorized as hazzardous waste.
You can’t make this stuff up—but the MSM just goes on ignoring the obvious. Green energy is still a chimera as far as practical cost effective applications.
Patricia Pat Stryker, a kingmaker in Colorado politics, helped steer thousands of dollars to a congressional candidate who later lobbied for a $400 million loan guarantee for Strykers now-bankrupt solar company.
She catapulted into the Forbes 400 after inheriting billions from her medical devices tycoon grandfather Homer Stryker. Despite dropping out of University of Northern Colorado as a student..
The heiress owns a 5.3 percent share of Stryker Corp. Stryker Corp. is also at odds with Obamacare. In 2011, it laid off 1,000 workers to make room for the laws 2.3 percent tax on medical devices. That has not stopped Stryker or her family from supporting 0. Her brother Jon has contributed $2 million to Obamas Super PAC, Priorities USA. Pat, who has visited the White House three times, donated $50,000 to Obamas inauguration fund and $9,600 to the campaign.
Stryker has given national Democrats more than $523,000 since 2007, but her chief interests remain in Colorado, where she has given $3 million to political organizations over that time. Stryker trails only Polis and Gill for the title of Colorados largest political donor.
One of many corrupt green energy projects involving the Obama administration and people with big bucks who donate to him. The modern version of the old “pay to play” scam.
Another tidbit about Abound Solar:
As the now-bankrupt stimulus loan recipient Abound Solar filed for Chapter 7 (liquidation) bankruptcy in early July thanks largely to its defective modules, the Department of Energy still praised the companys work as innovative and cost competitive, all while it blamed Abounds failure on China for dumping underpriced panels on the market.
And now, despite the fact that Abound no longer exists, DOE is still withholding public information about the company because it claims it would harm the inactive businesss competitive edge by disclosing trade secrets.
Our solar modules worked as long as you didnt put them in the sun, an internal source told The Daily Caller News Foundation.
Coincidentally, a couple months ago I was hired to perform bird surveys prior to construction of a huge solar project in California. After finishing all my surveys and getting paid handsomely, I found out the solar project was totally cancelled. Never did find out why.
What a colossal waste of taxpayer money!
LOL! Maybe like in my post #5 someone found out their solar panels like Abound’s only worked if they didn’t put them in the sun. :-)
ROFL! Never thought of that possibility, Jaz!
Our solar modules worked as long as you didnt put them in the sun ...
A political payback in a classic pay-to-play scheme. The billionaire heiress Pat Stryker could have financed the entire project herself, but instead used her political connections to put taxpayers on the hook.
Falmouth Massachusetts is removing their wind turbines .
Selectmen also voted to request the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center forgive the towns debt for renewable energy credits, and to send a delegation of state officials to request help with their debt for the purchase.
it would cost the town about $400, 000 to dismantle the turbines
A lot of good info in that piece, they had the pay to play thing nailed years ago.
The sad thing is the scams are being carried out in plain sight and nothing or little is done about it. Murtha did this for decades and was never nailed but Obama and his thug Dems have taken it to a new high.
The media is helping promote these scams which will soon lead to even more fraud ; no wonder we are broke.
No matter how ineffective or costly these enviro boondoggles are, there seems to be no shortage of useful idiots to vote for it. But it's always the taxpayers who lose.
A thief / junkie will always steal from anyone ?
No problemo - Obama will certainly give them enough money to handle the cleanup and then some.
They’ll go broke nevertheless, of course.
Thanks for the ping.
Those people are destroying Colorado.
NREL has given us two of the most significant boondoggles, one of them being ethanol and the other being (bankrupt) Abound Solar, she said.
