TAUNTON — State Rep. Shaunna O’Connell said she meant no offense when she posted a photograph on Facebook showing a snowman decorated with a Confederate flag bikini top.
“It was just kids having innocent fun,” O’Connell said. “Nothing should be read into that at all.”
O’Connell, R-Taunton, posted the image to Facebook on Sunday, along with photographs of her children playing in the snow and a U.S. flag against a snowy backdrop.
The Confederate flag, regardless of the intent behind its display, can be a racially charged image for many Americans, said Michael Curry, president of the NAACP’s Boston chapter.

The complete and utter lack of shame from the NAACP/Democrats/liberals is astounding.
That would be “radical left wing extremist demokkkrat naacp liberals”.
Maybe someone is offended by the black/green/yellow flag (or whatever color make up it is) that some people display as a symbol of their african roots. But, of course no one dare say that. If you are so enamored with all things africa, go live in mogadishu or some other craphole for a while and then come back here an complain how crappy things are here. These asshats have NO clue how bad things can be.

I’m a full on Yankee and the flag has never bothered or offended me in the least.
Its damn near as common here in the north these days as it is in the south. A pole barn down the road from me has an enormous mural of tattered but still standing confederate battle flag on it. I think its a cool mural.
NAACP is a wholly owned subsidiary of the DNC. No Repub should ever expect fair treatment there.
Furthermore, the press organ that is not wholly DNC is rare. No surprises there either.
Don’t let DNC propaganda get under your hide. We need to be building our own sources of information and our own means of public communication and turn theirs off.
Notice the prominent placement of the letter “R” in this news story. This young lady is a member of an endangered species: a Republican who holds elected office in Massachusetts.
Meanwhile, here in Illinois, news media references to Jesse Jackson Jr. are notably deficient on mentions of (A) his party affiliation, (B) the fact that he was hospitalized for mental illness during the 2012 campaign and attended precisely zero campaign events (but won in a landslide anyway) and (C) the fact that he resigned from office shortly after the election, facing a federal indictment for spending about $750,000 in campaign contributions on such items as Michael Jackson memorabilia, fur coats, and a $43,000 Rolex.
The news stories that do mention one of the three items I listed — (A), (B), or (C) — carefully avoid any mention of the other two.
Nothing to see here. Time to move on.
But a Republican has been spotted in a yard, with a snowman wearing a Confederate-flag bikini top? Roll those cameras, this is NEWS. And don’t forget to point out that she’s a Republican.
She obviously missed some PC training/indoctrination/brainwashing. Go figure. I will have to support her in the next election in some way.
