The most disheartening event in the country this week wasn’t the State of the Union address, though that was certainly ugly enough.
And it wasn’t the finale of the Chris Dorner rampage, which was certainly horrific enough in its waste of human life.
From the standpoint of the picture it paints for us of America circa 2013, it’s the reaction to Dorner.
The reaction of the Left to Dorner is hideous enough. It’s personified by the vapid, disgusting and degenerate Marc Lamont Hill, who finds deep meaning – and excitement – in Dorner’s senseless mayhem and unhinged online ramblings…
If you look for more Dorner fanboys on the Left, you’ll find them. We’ll not belabor that; there isn’t much new there. As Andrew Klavan noted earlier this week, leftism is a philosophy of violence and it has been ever since Rousseau belched it forth from his spleen.
What’s worse, what’s worst, is that Dorner has his fanboys on the Right.
We now see people calling themselves members of the Tea Party who echo some of the same sentiments the Marc Lamont Hills of the world are bleating.
These sound a bit more sophisticated than the mind-numbingly stupid defense of Dorner as an anti-establishment superhero who satisfies an onanistic, Bill Ayers-esque fantasy about killing cops. But they’re just as ugly.
The “Tea Party” – and we use this description very guardedly – defenses of Los Angeles’ newest cop-killer are that by tracking him down, cornering him and ultimately (we think) bringing about his fiery demise at Big Bear Lake, law enforcement violated Dorner’s 4th Amendment and 6th Amendment rights.

Whether or not Dorner had a legitimate beef against the LAPD regarding his firing WE will never know. If he did have a legitimate beef or not, his approach to dealing with HIS problem was abborant and disgusting. On the other hand, the over-reaction by law enforcement leading to members of law enforcement firing on two separate vehicles which had nothing to do with Dorner, severely injuring at least one elderly woman, is also abborant and disgusting.

Believing that someone shouldn’t be burned to death isn’t exactly hero worship.

Dormer biggest mistake was thinking his fellow LAPD officers were good honest men, and that they would be upset about homeless people being abused.
His next biggest mistake was killing these same corrupt police officers and thinking he could get away with it.
His last mistake was poor planning. If he wanted to make a point about the injustice he received he could have accomplished it without killing innocent people. If he was so smart he would be in Mexico instead of murdered by the same corrupt police he was trying to shine a light on. what a sick bass turd.
All you have to do is look at some of the comments made by Freepers. They seem to think the cops should have walked up to the door and read Dorner his rights. There was no doubt of this man’s guilt, nor of his ability to take people out, so why should any more police risk their lives to try and take the thug alive? Yet, even on FR, some are suggesting the cops kill and burn first and ask questions later.

a court determined that? Because the Constitution doesn’t go out the window because a perp admits what he did.
Bill Ayers admitted what he did. “Guilty as sin, free as a bird”, should he have been locked up despite getting off in court?

Nor are cops obligated to walk into a hail of bullets when some turd won’t give up without a fight.
If that is true, then the police ought to stand up and say so. Instead, they are denying they intended to start a fire.
Is it too much to expect our law enforcement agencies to be truthful?
In this case shooting up three innocent people out of sheer and utter fear and incompetence, and lack of any concern about non-police citizens, and then the predictable burning of the house.
There is nothing wrong with the populace pointing out the failings of law enforcement.
Aside from the freaky nature of them just shooting at totally unrelated people's like women and a skinny white guy, there didn't seem to be one wit of concern that seeing two figures in a vehicle indicated an innocent hostage, even if it was the 270 pound giant.

By SOME law enforcement which is a separate issue that should be dealt with judicially.
Were the young female basketball coach, her fiance and the father of two, Riverside police officer corrupt police officers?
The same court that found Dorner was burned to death, wasn't given due process and his civil rights were abused. I think there are some Freepers on that panel judges.
LAPD not Riverside PD or San Bernardino Sheriff's Dept. Different entities.
Yeah, I think it was Torrance cops who shot up the citizens, I don’t know who burnt the house, it isn’t a story I have been following, I’ve seen this enough times over my lifetime.
