I think Dorner burned it down when he shot himself. Or, at least, when he pulled the trigger it caused the cabin to explode from the gas/smoke the police shot into the cabin. So, TECHNICALLY, Dorner burned it down.

"7 Burners deployed," as mentioned in your comment #528 from a scanner broadcast, would indicate a use of what are called incendiary grenades or other devices for starting fires. Incendiary grenades are made for burning military equipment, but they would certainly do the job on a cabin. Granted, some law enforcement agencies may have other devices for getting the job done.
