I seriously doubt that. There was a medeival bishop who made such a list, St. Malachy, but that list has often been derided as a forgery.
According to the prophecies of Saint Malachy (if they are right), the next Pope will be the last Pope, but he isn’t supposed to introduce the antichrist to the world. He supposed to shepherd the flock through the tribulations of the antichrist.
I was saying that tongue-in-cheek. It takes the Vatican a while to come around to new ideas like the Earth revolving around the Sun. That only took 359 years!

I found five resignations: Gregory XII (1406-1415), St. Celestine V (1294-1294), Benedict IX (1032-1044), St. Pontian (230-235 A.D.) and a possible /conjectured St. Clement (88-97 A.D.). The only Pope that resigned without political pressures/other issues at hand was St. Celestine V. So... sounds like one before. (I had to do some research. My 12 years of Catholic School didn’t quite prepare me for this!)
If Bernard Law was calling the shots then yours might have been exiled.
I firmly believe that the politics in play in the Catholic Church equal or surpass those of our Congress.

Clement V. He tried to refuse election, was a hermit who liked it that way but was forced to accept the pontificate. Once he was elected he pretty much said I'm the boss and the boss says it's ok for the boss to retire and since I'm the boss you can't do anything about it. He retired and returned to his hermitage.
Considering he died in 1945, that isn't much of a feat. An Encyclopedia would have given him 99% of that and considering the names they take, guessing Paul or John for the last couple would be pretty easy.

I am remembering my Confirmation. A slight hand on the cheek to represent the life of hatred, ridicule and mockery to follow when we made the decision to become Catholics.
I may be a bit naive in these matters but I still believe that our Pontiff is selected by the Holy Spirit. Men enter the conclave with their own plans and schemes but God's will, will be done.
Those who speculate on a more earthly plane would probably tell you that after the very long pontificate of JPII the conclave chose Benedict as a bridge pope to reign a few years while his longer term replacement would make himself apparent.
But an old Roman saying goes something like: Papabilli go into a conclave as the next pope and come out cardinals.
