You are right. They actually are very cautious of how they park in these situations, especially emergency situations. This is because they don’t want their vehicle to be another obstacle for further emergency vehicles. There is a lot of training and practice on even simple things like parking.
For example, in this program, ‘parking’ is an entire section of the advanced program.

Why would you want to park your car neatly in a parking space in the first place.
You might need it for cover.
Especially if you were being SHOT AT as the State Police are investigating.
Have you never seen footage of a crime scene where the cops use their car as cover???? How many times do they neatly park cars as they are dealing with an active shooter in a mass murder.

I don't know. Some lately would make him look like a piker. They aren't as overt as Rivero. At least everyone knew Rivero was tinfoil, some of the stuff people here have pushed have now become 'common knowledge' even though it was completely bogus (like the Libor thing for example).

And somehow knowing if they were random shots or intentional is going to somehow make a difference? Sure, they're all worked up over a couple of cop cars that didn't get hit but not concerned with whatever happened inside.
Whether this event was 100% legit or a dry run, you can bet they'll get their stories straight and have no loose ends next time. Here's a hint for next time, people don't play follow the leader in one door and back out the other, round and round. People walk from their cars, to the building. A small percentage will go directly inside with no distractions but most will wander over to the small groups standing around out front to ask questions before going inside. Most always the doorway is jammed. There will also be men shaking hands and women hugging no matter what the situation might be.

If I had to guess, I would say there is something to that Church of Satan and Lanza’s involvement. The POC for the church is Curtis something or another (don’t feel like looking it up). According to tax assessment, he has a $2 Million house in Newtown. Obviously, there is a lot of money at the top and who knows what kind of influence or involvement they have at the local government. If they are entrenched much like the KKK was in some small Southern towns in the middle of the last century when the police themselves were the Klan, there could be a cover up. Nothing we haven’t seen before.
Yes and I’ve even been to training courses for emergency driving (lots of ‘experience’ programs like this here locally- http://www.totaldrivingexperience.com/ ). The first thing they teach you in parking is don’t become an obstacle. When you see them all over the parking lot using their cars as cover, that is usually more planned and coordinated to allow flow of emergency traffic. If it is not planned and coordinated, they attempt to park as much in regular spots as possible to not make their car an obstacle to others.

So the answer is that we don’t know where they parked despite Uncle Chip claiming that they neatly parked in a parking spot so that his witness couldn’t see them.
The FACT IS...HE DOESN”T KNOW THAT
And common sense dictates - you have an active shooter on the scene killing lots of people - you want some kind of cover.
