The question is: “True facts, or standard boiler-plate?”

It’s hard to believe anyone other than Crazy Adam was involved. But if they were, this is what the authorities would say. On the other hand, maybe they say this no matter what.

I can understand that policy as a bureaucrat’s default. But, in a high-profile case like this, don’t you think that something more personalized, from whoever is running the investigation, should be made?

What bothers me the most is the assumption that many FReepers make that any information must be released as soon as possible (with the corollary that, if it is not, it is evidence of a conspiracy).

It's a criminal investigation, for cripe's sake.

I am going to posit a theory that Adam was exposed to relentless local media on how bad Sandy was. And, a person, with a tenuous hold on reality, may have assumed Sandy was the school.
