Proving that Amnesties DON’T WORK.

Did Reagan’s Amnesty stem the tide of illegal immigrants?

No?

Did Amnesty increase the tide of illegal immigrants?

Its amazing how the left (who HATE Reagan) always love to trot him out whenever they agree with something he did, even though he once said it was one of his biggest mistakes... (they leave that part out)

The Reagan 1986 amnesty was supposed to be a one-time event, never to happen again. The proponents stressed that there would never be another amnesty and this would solve our illegal immigration problem. When you reward something, you get more of it.

How did Maria Hernandez vote after Reagan gave her the vote?

I bet I know:

In the end, Hillary Rodham Clinton's California campaign was carried to victory by voters like Maria Hernandez of Boyle Heights, who cast her first vote for Bill Clinton and returned Tuesday to do the same for his wife.
Clinton's victory — a romp compared with some of the predictions just before election day — rested on the twin pillars of women and Latinos, groups that overlapped in the person of voters like Hernandez
.
How the voting shook both parties CAMPAIGN '08: THE CALIFORNIA VOTE, Clinton tapped into the growing political clout of the state's Latinos. Endorsements were important. February 07, 2008

Way to go gipper!

Rubio and Mccain promise THIS time it will be different!

A lefty with whom I work is one of those who buys into the "no one is illegal" meme and this is a video that he has decided to share with people as support of his position. This is the kind of thinking we are up against, folks.

“We need a `path to citizenship’!” Every Democrat in Congress and Juan McCain

Have continuous residence in the United States as a green card holder for at least 5 years immediately preceding the date of the filing the application

In re-inventing the amnesty wheel, the Democrats (and McCain) can say that this dog has five legs or call a mule a horse—but that doesn’t make a tail a leg or a mule a horse.
